Being annoying is only a matter of opinion.  He wasn't spamming, he was posting consistent references to something in his life.  He wasn't whining, he was using NSFCD as an outlet for his emotional rollercoaster, which isn't recommended only because people here for the most part do not sympathize with such behavior.
