I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with Microsoft after they tried to bill me for a Live Gold renewal . . . that I did not choose.  In fact, I turned off auto-renew and have been coasting in Silver for a month.  I would have never noticed had I not been doing that Bing Rewards thing for MS points . . .
