The true Sonic fans gave up on Sonic years ago. It is the non-fans that continue to buy the awful games Sega keeps putting out there.

I gave up on Sonic when Rush was the first good game in a LONG time, and the last good game at all.

Sonic pretty much started going downhill once he went 3D.
Just like Donkey Kong.

But the only real good 3D Sonic game I enjoyed a lot was Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut.
