*Steam says "Starting Download" when I start it up*

*Steam still says "Starting Download" an hour later*

Me: Screw it, let's just see what happens.

*Clicks "Play"*

*The game starts up fine*

Well, it looks like I downloaded it fairly fast and Steam just wouldn't tell me... Anyway, I've now done 2 hours of offline training. I still suck just as bad as when I started, but I've determined that my computer can handle it fine graphically and that it is a very very fun shooter.

Kayo

I really hate how I've made more than 12,000 posts here. Thankfully this swaying, moving Chandelure makes it all worth it.

I have no desire to learn to play TF2.
It plays with the keyboard, right? That must be a hassle to play the game. I don't want to afford a computer controller for it either.

I'm hungry. Sadly there is no food in my refrigerator.

Well, technically all you need are directional keys (w,a,s,d) and your mouse, but using the keyboard makes switching weapons (there's more than the normal 2) a lot easier. Also, you need the keyboard to reload manually and call for medics, but both are extremely easy to do. Yeah, I personally am a fan of the controller, but keyboard and mouse are alright once you get used to it.

It's a PC shooter. You're supposed to use a keyboard and mouse.
The mouse is actually much better for aiming, and your fingers don't really leave the WASD area.
YEAH

Agreed, computer shooters are fun as intercourse  when it comes to the controls. So easy.
Puts the lotion on the skin or it gets the hose again!

Super

I'm a controller guy myself but mouse+keyboard is really intuitive. But it's okay, Kayo. Don't worry about playing the game with us. You can go back to your Pokemon and My Little Pony games.

It just seems overly hyped and I never bothered to get into it.

Then again, that was probably just because it used to cost money. Now that it's free I might give it a shot eventually. Y/N?

Give it a shot. It will take some getting used to. You will find that the mouse is VERY accurate when it comes to shooting games.

Tupin

I quit playing TF2 when they started introducing the hats and upgraded weapons and other stuff. I used to play it all the time 2007-2009, but quit when that started.

Well I can imagine THAT. I'll just have to learn a lot about it first. Maybe I'll use my extra free time this summer to do that.

Yeah. The hats and weapons kind of ruined what the game once was. I still find it fun to play though.

I like it. It seems considerably more complicated than your average shooter, like combining items and stuff like that, but it's kinda cool to just see all the stuff you can get. What's more, the weapons are actually DIFFERENT; I got a bow for the Sniper earlier, and was shocked to find it actually works like a bow. I don't see this kind of stuff in class-based shooters that often, and while I don't know how deep I'll ever get into it, I do like this sort of customization.

The Seventh

I will personally agree-hats kinda ruined some of it, but I like the weapon variety.

And I will echo the opinons of the others about keyboard and mouse setups-they are nice, fluid and accurate.

And I'm loving this new phone! No more locking up...and wifi enabled!
