Well, games usually take 1 day after its release date to be put on sale, so I see why no one hasn't gone to buy it yet.

Nintendo World in NYC had a midnight release. Guess I was lucky, I didn't show up until an hour or two before midnight with some friends.

However, I'm not playing it, as it's a gift for mah younger brother. So I'm like :(/ right now. I did get to try it for a bit though at my friend's place.

How is it, Details!!

Better than I expected. I thought the controls would be awkward, but after a few minutes you get the hang of it. The controls feel like you split a GC controller, but it's not bad at all, it gives your arms alot of space and makes playing more comfortable than you'd think (you can tell I don't play many Wii games, lulz). The analog stick is pretty responsive, and Mario runs at a reasonable pace. There's the classic triple jump (looks as sweet as ever :P) and then there's alot of spinning, which you can use to attack enemies. Most of the time I had with the game (20+ minutes or so) was just running around smacking Goombas, it's that fun.

I can definitely see Galaxy being GOTY after playing it for such a short time. I didn't get to fly into space though, it looks great as well. :P

As for the music, it was hard for me to hear anything with the stereo behind me pumping out hard rock. Although it does match the game in a way. :P
