Ok, THIS is the kind of crap that Nintendo pulls that makes me mad. They take a successful franchise, like, say, The Legend of Zelda, and then try to incorporate some new product into it, resulting in a disgusting piece of crap. Link's Crossbow Training? Please Nintendo, don't do what you did to Mario to Link.

Mario use to star in great games. People in Nintendo would sit around a big table and think of such games. Now all they do is bring a list of every know sport on earth to work and then try to put a Mario twist on it. It's sickening. I understand that Nintendo wants to appeal to newer or casual gamers. But there are those of us out here that still would like to play a decent game once in awhile. And I don't mean once a year.

This is precisely the reason I'm playing more on my 360 and PS3. Do we see Master Chief playing football with the Arbiter? Nooooo...but, there ya go Nintendo! Let's put Mario into a football game! You could use the Nunchuck for illegal low blows to the groin, and hope that the ref doesn't see you. For a boss level, you have to get past Bowser to score a touchdown. Oh yeah, and the game comes with a Wii Remote.

Who here besides me would not be surprised if a game like that came around? And who else is tired of these crappy games Nintendo seemingly has an endless supply of?

Halo kinda HAS spin-offs >.>;; It's a far newer franchise then Mario, too. They get spinoff's after being around for a long time. Metal Gear, Sonic, Mario, Zelda, Ratchet (Though new), Crash, Jak (New), Banjo-Kazooie, Final Fantasy, and more have all had spin-offs. Heck, as I said, Halo has 'em. Look up Halo for the Cell Phone (A "game" which tracks Halo 3 score), or Halo wars (Yes, it's a spin-off. It looks good, but it's a spin-off).

Heck, Spin-offs aren't inherently bad. I think Halo Wars looks pretty good. A lot of the Mario spin-offs are great (Kart, Tennis, Golf, Depending on the person, Party) aside from the one-shot type of spins offs they have. Links Crossbow Training, in the 3rd person walk-around mode, has been said to be wonderful. Depending on the person, some have claimed the version of Phoenix Wright 1 for the Cell Phone was a spin-off (Same as the GBA one, but different loads, less music, etc.). It is wonderful.

Really, Spin-offs have nothing to do with low-quality. Spin-offs can have low quality (See the Jak racing game, DK bongo blast, Depending on the person, Mario Party, Banjo Airplane), but that doesn't mean they are all bad.

I just played Link's Crossbow Training and to my surprise, I actually enjoyed it. ;D

It's a short, sweet Zelda game that really goes along with the Zapper! I love it, I got it at GameStop, but it was the last one, so I don't know what your chances are.  Search eBay or the GameStop site, it has to be somewhere!  The multiplayer is kinda fun, but the final battle with the Fossil is pretty exciting.  Also, as for making a Zelda game that is a "disgusting piece of crap," it was actually smart.  I'd rather buy the Zapper with a Zelda game (which really works out) then some series I've never heard of before, and I'm sure Nintendo knew that.  Overall, it's great, if you can get your hands on it do so, there aren't too many games out there that use it yet, the only main one being Medal of Honor, but I'm sure Nintendo will utilize it with future shooting games, maybe even a future Resident Evil or something like that.  When a company designs a new accessory like the Wii Zapper, they look into future development rather than right now, because people will be wanting games to use it for, meaning Nintendo will be making more money, it's pretty smart on their end.

All in all, as I've repeated fifteen times, the Wii Zapper is a great accessory that utilizes the Wii's sensor technology, and the addition of Link's Crossbow Training makes it even better.
