I tried deleting Internet Explorer.
I had already uninstalled it, but the folder was still there.
IT WOULDN'T LET ME DELETE THE FOLDER.
I CAN STILL RUN IEXPLORE.EXE
Totla: No more Sparta references, ever.
Well no poop, if you're running Windows, you can't rid of it. Besides there are several programs that access the internet via IE, as poopty of a browser as it may be.
IE is integrated into Windows 98 and beyond. Delete it and you = intercourse ed
You can't delete Internet Explorer through normal means, if you use Windows 98/98SE you can buy a program called 98 lite, which lets you delete anything you want. If you use 2k/XP you can get XP lite for the same effect.

No, what you're looking for is explorer.exe.
you did that wrong file. you = intercourse ed
The 300 references are getting really, really annoying.
And by the way, you're intercourse ing stupid for thinking you can just get rid of internet explorer.
the point is, you cant! just ignore it and make sure its not your default browser. :)
ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY WALK INTO MORDOR.

It's 456 KB of wasted space.
Unless your computer is unbelievably poopty, that shouldn't be an issue.

No, count it as 456KB of system required stuff.
Just think of it like the /windows folder. Unless you are extremely retarded, you should keep it.
Really, if you uninstall it via the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel, all it will do is remove the shortcuts to IE (that is what happened in your case). I just hate that MS is FORCING us to keep IE in our systems. D:
Oh well, just set another browser as the default.

Uh no. My old computer with Win 95 wasn't. My old HP Omnibook with XP Professional wasn't.
There's a reason Microsoft Office XP and XP Pro costed a lot of money. It wasn't pre-installed. Shitty substitutes like Wordpad were.

Um... no.
The only time it is included with a computer is if the manufacturer preinstalls word. Otherwise, you have to pay to buy it.
IE isn't even listed in Add/Remove Programs to whoever mentioned that.

It is if you go to the Add/Remove Windows Components Tab (I called it Remove Windows Programs...). But like I said, all it will do is remove IE shortcuts on the desktop and in the Start menu.
i "got rid of it" using my windows disk ::) i think it might still be there :(
