Title: Does this mean Barack Obama is for seperation of church and state?
Post by: Pokesamrus on January 10, 2008, 05:07:25 PM
QuoteObama has encouraged Democrats to reach out to evangelicals and other church-going people, saying, "if we truly hope to speak to people where they're at—to communicate our hopes and values in a way that's relevant to their own—we cannot abandon the field of religious discourse."

quote from wikipedia.

I hope so btw...

I don't know but it sounds like he's trying to get the "religious vote" That sentence to me though doesn't sound like he is for the separation of church and state?

So he wants the state out of the church and no religious puppet officials.

Good plan.

"We should pull our troops out of Iraq." "We should put more troops into Iraq to win this war." "We need to bring our boys home." "If we send more in we can beat them."

Course this is not direct quotes, but the fact that he says he wants them out, then put them back in, just to sway a vote makes me a bit skepticle.

No, Bush won because the average Americans are total idiots, he managed to trick them, yet again...
Can't wait for November...
Yah can't deny that Kerry would suck too.
Even if he did suck, he would still be better than Bush, thats for sure...

Wanna bet?
If you can show me proof that Kerry would be worse than Bush, I'll believe you.

He said those kind of things during his campaign speech?

Add an "es" to speech and you got it.
So both candidates were hopeless...
At least this time, it looks like we have some better candidates.

As long as Clinton doesn't win, then yes.
So, who are you hoping will take office?

Obama, or basically anyone but Clinton.

Bingo
So i guess we all agree Obama?

but Dennis Kucinich would be nice...

As long as we don't have Clinton. She would be worse than Bill was when he was in office.
I seriously don't want to imagine how she will act in that time of month >_<

Heat flashes, mood swings... just not my thing.
