sry :(
I need 90s in english to pull up my average because of crappy math & chem. -_-
I thought I had done well on the exam, despite how badly made it was.
and I'm iffy on how I did on pre-cal this morning... so that's not good. -_-
The highest mark in the school on the ENGLISH exam was 88%. :|
EIGHTY-EIGHT PERCENT.
*asplode*
Oh, and possibly.

It's ok. I can see where you're coming from.
Just do your best. Only advice I can give.
I have 124% in 3D animation class :O
I'd be pretty darn mad too >:(
You'll survive. It's one test, an exam, yes. Life and death? No. Just do things the way they want you to. I know it's difficult, but just try.
Dang that sucks, my midterms weren't that bad, didn't even have an english one ;D

I'd poop bricks and then throw them at the teacher. >:(
My History exam was OKAY, but I DID lose about 3% because of bad writing.
Science was PERFECT, and I got 98% anyways.
English was great, because the teacher added enough points so that the person with the best score gets 100, so all of her errors were corrected, putting me up to a VERY narrow A-...
MATH IS EVIL ANYWAYS, but it's not the test's fault...

The guy next to me in Science is a total dumbass, yet he has a better grade than me. Why?
He studies his ass off, and I don't. Now, don't get me wrong, I still have a solid A in the class, but he has an A+, because he overstudies.
He got 100% on the Science exam compared to my 98. Had I studied at all, I would've had a 100 too, but no. I don't study. Our school system is corrupt, in many, many ways.

The markers for the exam were stupid.
First question on the exam:
What questions would you ask the teachers from this article? - 5 marks
I listed 5 questions and overflowed the paper.
and didn't get 5 marks.
I WOULD ASK THEM THOSE QUESTIONS.
the fact that the exam was complete and utter BULLSHIT and that EVERYBODY FELL FROM THE EXAM means it was marked too FUCKING HARD.
NOBODY'S MARKS BENEFITTED. I STUDIED MY ASS OFF.
in the class previous ours, 67% OF THE CLASS FAILED THE EXAM.
my friend who had a 97 GOT 61.
then my other friend who had a 97 got a 66.
my best friend got a 74 when his term mark was 95.
EVERYONE IS BITCHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT WAS A FUCKING STUPID EXAM.
I'm BITCHING about it because prior to writing it I ACTUALLY HAD A SHOT AT HONOR ROLL.

That's what effort IS. No matter how stupid you are, unless you have a mental illness, if you study well and hard enough, you'll get amazing grades.
That's what school is based on, and there's no way around it. The only benefits smart people have at school are that they don't have to study as much, and they'll probably get better grades.
Just because you're naturally stupid doesn't mean you can't turn it around by working hard.

1. The questions didn't apply to most of the stories that went along with them. Manitoba Provincial exams usually have generally the same questions, but swapped stories.
2. A teacher in Winnipeg leaked the topic of the exam (Fairness was the topic :|) to their students, and was subsequently fired, but since they leaked the topic, it screwed with everybody's marks in the province.
3. The topic was "Fairness". Far too broad. Apparently Justice has nothing to do with fairness, but Pity & Generosity do. Part of the reason my mark was so low. I wrote on Justice, but apparently they didn't like that.
4. The stories weren't about fairness, they were about being kind to people less fortunate, or they were basically "what the intercourse " stories. An example of this was a story of a man who's wife had died, and he went to the graveyard, when all of the sudden the dead rose from their graves and wrote on their gravestones why they had really died, and his wife wrote that the reason she died from a cold was because she had gone out to cheat on him. Didn't apply to "Fairness" in enough ways to warrant a whole page's worth of writing.
5. Not enough substance. the questions on the first day lacked any sort of suitable depth. they were all "This is a homeless/disabled person, i was mean to them, I have seen my wrongdoings" sorts of stories, and since they were all exactly the same, you ran out of things to say on the exam without reiterating yourself time and time again.
6. The time given for writing our major piece (article/short story/poem, etc) was far too short. In order to get something with any substance or ideas whatsoever, you need more time than 3 hours. I was planned out prior to writing on these days, and I still needed a bit of extra time (5 minutes, less than that) to finish.
7. You were marked wrong on opinion-based questions.
I'm too tired to list more. goodnight.
