Title: well guys, two weeks left.
Post by: Triforceman22 on February 23, 2008, 07:47:40 AM
What are you gonna do on March 8th?

I'm going to stay up all night having an endless melee against Link Marth roy and fox.
Just trying to get the last bit of juice out of melee...
I'll still play melee (Since brawl don't got Roy...:()

so...yeah.. what are you doing? :P

I'll be camping out.

I'm having trouble deciding where to camp though. At my Gamecrazy, there is a melee tournament for the people waiting. Winner of that gets a free copy of Brawl, not to mention the very first copy.

At ebgames, there is a Brawl tournament. Winner of that gets some prize. The winner also gets to go to some district brawl finals. Then State, and then regional. Winner of that gets 5k, plasma tv, wii, and games.

I have a much better chance at winning the Melee tournament, but the rewards for the Brawl tournament are much bigger. I'll probably just go to the Melee one, but who knows...

Depends... if there's a midnight release I'll go to it. If not, I'll just be at Wal*Mart at 9 A.M. then walk across the street to GameStop at 10... I have it reserved and the GameStop I'm going to isn't the most popular one really, so I'm not concerned really. Be hittin' 90 on the way home though. :-X

I'm going to my friends house and having an all night battlefront campaign. I've been annoying all my friends (and teachers) by shouting the number of days left till Brawl every day. I'm gonna do that on March 8th too.

Hey, sometimes Canadians get games months after the USA does because they have to translate it into French.

lies and blasphemy.

The instructions have to be, and the amount of time it takes to do that is little. I translated the manual in less than a day of an American version of NMH.......and I am not a linguist.

I heard that's why NMHN came out a week later in Canada, to translate the manual.

Speaking on which, the game will be translated instantly depending in which language the Wii is programed.

Brawl will, but NMH didn't.

They had to like put subtitles in the copies sold in Quebec, I believe. I may be wrong.

I hope I can participate in a tournament, but it depends what time it starts. I have Brawl reserved so theres no point in camping out, so I hope it doesn't start then. I have a pretty high chance of winning. Still, my chances are slim. My mom stayed out to get my Wii in freezing weather, and I've got a feeling she's not staying out for anything game related ever again. :P And I forgot to fully pay it off...I still have $45 left on it. :O If I can't go I'll do 64 tournament in Melee and win, just to play it one last time for a looong time.

The tournament is at 8pm until midnight.

I don't get why people find midnight releases pointless if they have the game reserved. I don't go to midnight releases to make sure I get a copy. I go to them to get the game sooner, so I can play it more.

It takes so LONG to get it at a midnight release and you won't get to play it THAT much more. You have to get up early and go to school or work, and you'll be extremely tired. Of course I do want to go to the midnight release...

Yea, it seemed like only yesterday that we were anticipating the release of online compatibility conformation on Brawl.

I'll be at my local Gamestop at around 8 P.M. as there is going to be a Melee tournament.  Winner gets a free copy of Brawl.  I hope I win.  8)

Midnight release is at 12 pm.

Game stores usually open at 10 (or 11 on sundays at some stores). Not to mention, this is on the weekend, so no school (sorry for the people with work). You should also not be going to the midnight release in the first place if you are going to be tired.

11 extra hours to play? Sounds good with me. I'll have unlocked pretty much all the characters by the time you guys who aren't going are getting up.
