Like forgetting a key or something?
I had one, in Paper Mario, I was stuck for 1 month trying to get the second star in the dessert but I couldn't find Moustafa (Don't blame me, I was 8 or more at that time).
I couldn't figure out where the 2nd or 3rd Power Node in Metroid Prime 1 in the Wrecked Ship. Turns out, I had to look behind me to find it.

I thought you had to press a button down each time you wanted to strum it, but eventually I found out you can hold it down. >_>
And before that, I didn't even know you needed to strum.
In OoT it's always a pain getting that one chest on the ledge that you have grapple/jump to in the Forest Temple. Even though it only contains a recovery heart.
The whole first Crash bandicoot game on the PS1. That game was probably the hardest thing I played when it came out.
Hell, that game still gets me in quite a few places now, I'll be honest.

Great Bay Temple in MM.
I was 8, so I had no idea on how to do it :P
Now it's a piece of cake.
Playing Sonic Heroes, I forgot how to do the Triangle Jump or whatever.
Two things, both LoZ games. First, I had no idea there was a Song of Time box behind the chest in the Water Temple after fighting Dark Link in OoT. Took me seven months to find it, granted I only tried to find it for one month, ditched the game for six, and then came back again and found it. Finished this for the first time about a month before starting Majora's Mask for the first time, so around the end of age seven.
Second, the Ice Temple in Majora's Mask. I still can't figure it out, I somehow managed to finish it when I finished the game the first time when I was eight or nine. How I did that is beyond me.

Hmmm let me think probably like .......well...Ill post one when i remember it
I've had some pretty frustrating memories with Twilight Princess and I'm not even done. :D
1. Near the beginning of the game where you're Wolf Link and you have to get out of that dungeon thing. I didn't know that you could just crawl through a hole in the ground after you drained the water, so I spent a few hours running around raising and draining the water trying to get to Midna. >_>
2. Finding my way back to Ordon Village (That's your home, right?) from that town where that Goron Mountain is. My God I spent days finding my way until I got help from OldSider. >:(
3. Realizing you can use Oocco (or however it's spelled) to warp back and forth from dungeons. I thought you could only use her once. Also got help from OldSider.
4. The current place I'm at that I don't remember what I have to do, but it's in that Goron Mountain thing. :D
There was also that Ice Cave thing in Pokemon Gold/Silver (I can't remember) that I could never get out of! >:(

First, you have a bar with a line on the middle on top of the screen, the rules are to have the line on the middle by moving it and keep it away from each ends of the bars, but the hard thing is, most of the times you screw up by moving it to the opposite direction (Because the line is going to try and touch either end), also, you see Fox looking around with surprise hearing evil laughs from a shadow of General Scales that distracts you A LOT, then, at the end, the line goes crazy and it tries to touch a side with so much force and you lost the control of it.

Here's another from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption...
I believe this is my 7th. :D
I can't remember the details, but it was right after I had finished in the first area when Dark Samus blasts you and you're in like a coma or something and you wake up and you get the Phazon(?) Anyway the doctor told me somebody or something wanted to talk to me, but I got lost on the way there and I still can't find my way. I just gave up and I haven't played it since. :-X

the first time I played Zelda LA I was looking forever for a small key in turtle rock, only to find out I had one the whole time
Getting the third ocarina song was always a pain in my ass(im assuming your talking about Link's awakening?)
Oh and in Metriod Prime 2 Echoes after getting screw attack I couldn't get back across because I didn't know how to use it. I somehow managed to get to the door without using it...but I later got the hand of screw attack

I had a tone of trouble with the second boss too, only when I was younger at least, also my brother had to tell me how to fight the third boss...I would have never thought to run into the wall...(omg i found someone that has also played LoZ:LA)

Fishing in Twilight Princess.
Oh intercourse I was stuck on that gosh darn thing forever.
Same here. <_<
And my friend was making fun of me for it (however, he can't beat the SSE...)

I forgot another one.
Beating Chuckolator in Superstar Saga.
It took me about a year before I had someone else beat it.
wow, I've found many people with that boss.
You mean they had trouble with it?
Well, yes.
Some thought the shield was practicaly unbreakable, some even lost the patter of his attacks, but that was weird.
The Chuckolator was the hardest boss in the game IMO.

How I did that is beyond me.
gosh darn rolling as a Goron always screwed me over.
It's called SnowHead Temple.
But whatever.
Also, the goddammed Strength Contest in StarFox Adventures. T_T
the Test of Fear was worse
Oh man, that was the most hardest thing on the game, Fox, I thought you were brave from the beginning!
The test of fear was easy.
You had to pretty much kill the A button on the test of strength.
I used a pen, and rapidly slashed it across the A button :P
Somebody, kill this guy NOW.

I have to admit, even after like 8 or so run-throughs of that game, the Chuckolator is still a bit of a pain...

Chuckolator was easy if you had around 20 or so Syrups >_>;
