i agree
I give it a nine. It's close to a ten, it revolutionized the series, and it helped start things off storyline wise.
I think Majora's Mask was much better, in my opinion.
I would give it a nine. Great game, one of my favorites.
i never played majoras mask does anyone know when it is comming out for the virtual concal
10. Only one of four "perfect" games IMO. (Tetris, Super Mario World, OoT, and MGS4)
Completely changed the series, great gameplay, actually CHALLENGING *coughWindWakerandTwilightPrincesscough*, great story, and ten years later and Nintendo is STILL ripping it off to no end.

I'll give it a ten also.
I agree with you too. WW and TP were quite easy. :P
Ocarina of Time is the greatest game ever created.
My favorite game and the game im trying to beat the world record for 8)
7-8. Although I've heard great things about it. I didn't really get that sucked into it like I hoped I would. Though, that may be because I already knew who Sheik was and pretty much part of the story already.

Lol. The fastest speed run is 5 hours and 40 seconds. My fastest run is 5 hours and 27 minutes. Im very close to doing it so dont count me out :|
9 just because of the epicness.
It isn't a 10 because I've never liked Puzzle games and this series is the only one I do play
I give it a 9.5, one of the most amazing games I've ever played. And that's coming from a person playing it a decade after it came out.

Lucky. I wish I could've enjoyed it like that. I played it late and I didn't like it as much as I wanted to.

That's still 27 min. you've got to kill. But I suppose it's possible. I've come within a few seconds of world records for F-Zero GX tracks ( I think my closest was only 1.3 seconds off the mark)

Yea I remember getting you every piece of heart :|
I give it a 7. It's a good game with it's own merits, but what do I find after what I heard all about it? Nothing extremely special. My money could have been better used on either F-Zero X, Mario Kart 64, or Star Fox 64.
wat do you think the hardest temple was
A 7.
Majora's Mask and Wind waker(although easy) were better.
Awesome game. I'd give it a 9.
I think Majora's Mask wasn't as good.

No temple is really difficult but that is the one that took me longest to memorize. and generally is the hardest for most

Stop trailing off and discuss how this game is awesome.
i think the game had a really good story, read wat i found on the next zelda game
Aonuma: Not this time, I?m afraid. You?ll see it soon enough though. I?m even a little stunned at what my co-workers have created, and that?s saying something since I worked with them on so many amazing games. I?ve always wanted to surpass A Link to the Past and I think I might with this. Who knows?
>Kyle: The Wind Waker has always been my favorite Zelda game, but I think this should easily topple it. Now what are your other goals?
>Aonuma: Let?s see. Hero, tone, scale?. Well aside from fully orchestrated music-
>Kyle: Finally!
>Aonuma: [laughs] Yes, the music will all be orchestrated this time. I know that was a complaint of Twilight Princess, so I hope we can remedy some of the sound complaints this time. Voice acting and orchestrated music are very important to us right now. But yes, I?m drawing a lot of artistic inspiration from Majora?s Mask. I think that game was so real partly because of its overarching sense of despair. Deluge will be hopeful and more innocent at times, but it is still a story of the apocalypse. Remember that this game is centralized around the Great Flood of Hyrule, and concerns, in part, the salvation of various Hylians from total destruction, which the hero will influence in part.
>Kyle: So that?s his purpose, then? Is he occupied partly with saving Hyrule?s people?
>Aonuma: You?ll have to wait a while, because this is still very integral to the core plot, which I can?t spoil right now. I can tell you that his primary motive is destroying Ganon, but you can imagine how difficult this is without the Master Sword or Light Arrows. So battling Ganon and saving Hyrule are both key components of his journey, and in order to immerse the characters as fully as possible, I want to draw the sense of urgency present in Majora?s Mask. The flood doesn?t occur until later in the story, but when Hyrule floods, it does so in real-time. What I mean is, Link will not have the opportunity to wander the world aimlessly at that point, as Hyrule Field and the Gerudo and Kokiri territories?all the towns aside from the Goron tribes in Death Mountain, essentially?will become huge bodies of water. And of course there will be an immense variety of new enemies and such to add depth to this.
>Kyle: Will the hero actually be able to use iron boots to explore an underwater Hyrule, or will it be a suspended reality similar to that of Wind Waker?
>Aonuma: A bit early to say, but I don?t think you?ll be disappointed. The Zora race will survive of course, and their influence on saving Hylians is pretty interesting. But you remember that in Wind Waker, the races evolved physically?
>Kyle: I hope the game explores that, actually.
>Aonuma: It might. We?re drawing more power out of the Wii than ever before with this. I?m very excited. [laughs]
>Kyle: I am too, you have no idea. Well I?m very grateful for your willingness to speak with us today. You can expect to read the interview shortly after the E3 showing and I hope to see some concept art soon. This game sounds incredible so far.
>Aonuma: I?m glad you think so. I?m very pleased with its progress as well and I hope gamers will find it our most compelling game so far

just leave me alone
So yeah, AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Quick stop fighting so you both don't get BANNED!*
The music was truly amazing. I freaked out every single time I heard the 4 notes when I opened a chest.
Also the bosses were really fun. If you didn't figure out what to do, you were screwed(even though it was mostly aiming for the Eye or glowing part)
It was ok, there are lots of things that make it "far from the best game" but it was pretty good...

The combat system felt really clunky, alot of control problems, and the indoors of houses made my eyes bleed the graphics were so bad...
9.7, whole game was amazing except for the obnoxious Water Temple.
i agree with thunderhero the combat was slow and the insides of houses had the worst graphics ever
Ugh, I need to think a bit more before voting. Stupid X-3.
Anyway, I found the game average at best. It is far from my favorite game. Still, it's pretty fun at some parts.
So...I'd give it a 7 or so.
im still debateing on 8 or 9

I normall give ppl their own opinions (cept ThunderHero...lol), but these two I have to complain about.
Slow combat? Have you played any RPG from that time? Attack. Wait Turn. Get hit. Wait Turn. Ugh...those were bad X_X;;
Also, I hate the graphics complaint for old games. Yes, the graphics suck now, but for 1998 they were pretty darn good...
Everything else you've said in this thread is pretty okay...

FFIV and other Final Fantasies had the ATB system, which made things faster. Still slow, but a bit faster.
Though, I think OoT's combat was pretty good for it's time.
And yes, back then the graphics were pretty good. They're better than Blockio in Mario 64...
