Today's topic of conversation: Scars.
Do any of you have any interesting scars? Maybe none at all? Or just none interesting but have a neat little story behind them?
We'll include other physical abnormalities caused by injury here as well.
-----------------
I have a set of small scars surrounding the base of the thumb on my right hand, almost like a ring, from a dog bite. He almost took off my thumb. I also have a scar on my nose, though it's almost entirely invisible now, from when I was 6. I jumped on the playground and hit a pole and my glasses dug half an inch into my nose. Third, a small chicken pox scar on my chest, and a cut-shaped scar on my left wrist (top side, not vein side) and I don't know what it's from. It's just there.
Aside from scars, my front tooth on top is chipped from a horseplay accident in 8th grade. Running around with my friend Clarissa in the rain in front of school, she was chasing me, and I slipped in the grass and fell to the cement. I caught myself and didn't get hurt, but she fell behind me and landed on top of me, slamming my face into the cement. Small chip, but chipped nonetheless.

Basically, tried to jump down from my loft bed.
Failed miserably. Head split open, blood everywhere, cool scar.
Pic taken right after it happened, because I'm stupid.
It was only a matter of time before Silver broke himself ::)
And I have this one on my right hand from punching this kid in the mouth when I was around 8, I don't even know why, I guess he was being irritating I guess, but when I punched him his tooth came out and dug into my knuckle. I can't believe that scar is still there... I also have one from my brother slamming my pinkey in a door and I had to pretty much get it sewn back on...
Can't really think of any others. I bruise like a bannana but heal pretty quick.
On my sides and chest because of some complications when I was born. On the side, they're indents, on my chest, they're like little white streaks (meaning one on each side).
I highly doubt any of you have bigger ones than the one down the center of my back from my spinal surgeries.
Well, I have cat scratches that turned into scars down both my arms.
(it sucks) but nothing like what R_R went through.... I mean...... slipping/falling......then your teeth hits the cement?!? OW!!!! ........
Oh, I also have a scar "running down" my left wrist, (on the vein side) from a Band Camp accident.
I was on top of a chair, and there was a rope hanging down from the band Class room's Office Building.
It wasn't just a rope...it was some kind of hard/shiny/metallic rope used for (something) I don't remember.
This was like in the year 1998. Anyway, I didn't jump towards it like Tarzan or anything. I just reached for it... I lost my balance/footing but I managed to grab on the rope.....
But somehow, the strands (or what ever was on it) was so sharp as I fell down, I managed to cut my wrist going down.
So just think of putting your left arm straight up in the air....grabbing on to a rope, and then quickly falling down slicing your wrist. Yeah, it wasn't pretty.
Oh, and I also have a scar on my left pinky from me playing basketball.
I got knocked down in the midst of the action...and then somebody stepped on And twisted their Heel on my pinky finger. I even saw the bone of my pinky finger.
I'm not afraid of blood or the site of my own bone or anything So I went to the school nurse, needless to say I was pretty PO that he stepped on my finger anyway.
This was in Middle School, around the time most of y'all were either in diapers or learning how to Talk. :P
I have one across my leg from when I was in elementary school and rolled onto some glass hidden in the grass at school. It wasn't deep, just really long.
And I have one above my eye from when my brother shoved me out of bed in a hotel in Ohio and I hit my head on the end table. Ended up having to get 5 stitches, and the lady at the front desk was completely useless in telling us where the hospital was.
I have a weird-looking one on my elbow. It was absolutely grotesque when I first got it. It happened about a minute and thirty seconds into a water gun battle in middle school.

I'm curious how you managed to hurt yourself in a squirtgun battle. >_>
In kindergarten, we were playing some game with beanbags in gym class. Someone threw their beanbag across the room, so I volunteered to go get it. I ran over and when i was almost there, I slid on my knees on the linoleum floor because it was fun, but when got to the wall where the beanbag was, there was a nail sticking out of the wall (the head of the nail; it wasn't hammered in all the way) and I slid into it with my head. It was really disgusting, and now I have a scar on the right end of my forehead.

Did it go into your head? Or just hit it?
Either way, its not as bad as when I was stomping out a campfire and there was a nail hidden in it... Went right through my shoe. I had to get a shot and everything so it didn't get infected. But no scar :-\
I've got a small one at the base of my left pinky. Can't quite recall what it's from since it happened when I was 4ish.
One on my abdomen and upper thigh from minor surgery.
A scar from chicken pox sits in my right elbow. At least, I think it's from chicken pox. =|
I've got a few on the tops of my hands from bumping them at work while my excema was in full force. ::) Among other scars from work, because that's what work's about: cutting yourself. Other then that, I don't think I have anything special.
I was on a treadmill, and some vagina cleaning device turned it up to level 10 on me.
And there was a wall behind the treadmill.
I'm sent flying in between the wall and the conveyer belt.
The Clip thing didn't turn the treadmill off either.
My knee caps are being skinned alive.
Someone finally comes and turns the darn thing off.
I have a big ass bulging Scar on my knee caps still, and that was almost 3 years ago!
I could barely Walk at all....
But, I got to miss 2 weeks of school though. :P
I have a scar on my knee from when I got stitches.
I was camping out at my neighbor's house. Some soda was spilled, so I went to get a rag. I tripped and landed on something sharp.

It's Zovi. He tends to get really worked up in awesome situations.
Anyway, I have a really small scar on my lip from when I bit on it after I went to the dentist and still had Novocain.
I have a very small and hardly noticeable scar on my forearm.
I have a round scar on my arm. It's red and puffy and the size of a quarter I've had it since grade 7.
im cool
Got hit at close range with an automatic air soft gun... pellets were heavy grain and were able to make me bleed and scar in several places.
Hit with a chunk of ice above my left eye, left a small gash.
Small crater in my forehead from chickenpox.
Knuckle on my Middle finger had a big chunk taken out of it and is pretty scarred from me dropping a box and it ripping my finger to bits. :'(

He's Canadian, he can't sue for something like that.
I've got a scar around my right thumb from a dog bite, too. Damn dog had razor sharp teeth, and I was trying to take his toy so I could throw it for him. Ha, didn't like that too much though. Fourteen holes in all, going all around my thumb, each bleeding. Very faded now, though. Still reminds me of my hate for that one particular dog.
I've got a scar on my right ankle from getting sliced with the blade of an ice skate. It's kind of cool looking. The shape of an upside down water drop with the top curved. Kind of like one half of a Yin Yang symbol.
I've got a scar on my left arm. It's long, thin, and dark brown. That one is my most interesting scar, I think. Basically, I was walking in the woods nearby my house with my dog in the morning. When suddenly, she began growling. I looked over and saw a coyote near some bushes. The coyote looked as if it was backed between a rock and a hard place. It lunged forward (jumping extraordinary high, from what I remember), over me. I jumped out of the way at the same time, my hand kind of went up into the air, where it got scratched by one of the coyote's claws. Stung for a while, and left a scar, but I don't remember any bleeding or anything.
Those are all the scars I can think of at the moment...
My cousins picked me up by my feet and swung me around (when I was like, 4) and my head hit some piece of furniture. Stitches and mess, plus an interesting scar I can't even see because It's on the top of my head. My hair covers it, so noby else sees it either. If you look really closely you might be able to see a slight change in the shade of my skin tone on my elbows from the numerous times I wrecked on my bike as a kid.
I have a hurnea scar, you know in the general area hurneas tend to be, it happened when I was maybe 2 and you can hardly see it.
Nope, none that I have noticed or I remember.
I've still got a large mark from a burn while making toast in a toaster oven. Metal is hot.
Back in middle school, this dude and I got in a fight. He ducked and I punched a tree which left some scars on my index and middle knuckle of my right hand....I still kicked ass though :P

Someone came at me and I jolted a quarter-step behind me to dodge, not realizing that behind me was a 3-foot drop to an asphalt driveway.

Driveway to the school.
We were playing in an elementary school playground. Good times.
Come to think of it, that's kinda dangerous for little kids then. Ah well.

Well, it went into my head, but not like it got lodged in.
I have one on my eye-brow from when I hit the corner of the door when I was two. I was bleeding like crazy, and wailing, and Dad was trying to find a towel, so he ended up having to borrow one from the neighbors. By the time he got back, I had already stopped crying. (Still bleeding like crazy though.)
So we went to the doctor. I was drawing on one of the various chalk boards in the room when one of the nice nurses came by and talked to me.
"Oh, what a nice little boy!"
I turned around, STILL full of blood, and she freaked out.
And that's that story.
oh I forgot.
I have a scar on my tongue because when I was a kid I bit through it.
Everyone knows my infamous story about me falling of me tripping on my bike when I saw a bee and getting the word ONE ingrained on my face.
I got cut by a wooden board with a nail in it.
The person carrying it tripped and so did I and it cut about 1 inch across, came out,cut 2 centimeters, came out, poked me.It looks pretty cool but it's not a terrible cut.
Also i got it 2 years ago but me being and idiot I kept picking the scabs and now theres a scar.
People should be posting pics of their scars, like me.
I have a big crater in my shin for when I split it open 4 years ago from my tripping on a big sharp rock.

No.

Not my problem. >:(
I remember I went swimming at my uncles house when I was little. Anyway he threw me straight up but there was a metal rod above the pool. My neck got caught on it and I flipped all the way around it on my neck. I then proceeded to fall back down into the pool. I don't have a scar though even though I distinctly remember the flesh on my neck being torn up.

Sure I can.

Besides i'm a little late for sueing now.... XD
I was riding my bike to a friend's house, with Ridley riding behind me. I hit a bump, fell over, an hit my face on the concrete. Of course, with Ridley right behind me, he fell ontop of me, and made my face hit the street again. I chipped my tooth, and have a scar on the side of my head, that can only be seen under my hair if you specifically look for it.
I have an H-shaped scar under my right eye. I don't remember all the details on how I got it.
I dont think it's a scar, but there are two spots on my head where white hair grows naturally.
One is on the right side and the other is right at the top near the back.
Also I have two scars from staph infections :'[
I forgot, I also have a scar on my lip where my old cat scratched my when I was 5. I got stitches and everything. D=
Oh yeah, I also forgot about the scar my pet mouse gave to me when I was like 5.
Bit me right in the finger.
I have a scar on my middle finger on my right hand that I got when I was like two years old...my brother closed sliding barn doors on my finger which sliced it open, I had to get stitches, and according to my parents the doctors had to fight with me because I wanted to watch them put the stitches in...
Anyways, the scar, not only cuts my finger print in half, but it prevents me from snapping my fingers with that finger.
I have a scar on the back of my hand from when I as a kid. No idea how that got there..
A scar in the web between my thumb and finger. I tried to open a package with a box cutter facing me when I was a kid. The box cutter slipped, and I stabbed myself.
Gotta scar near my wrist, and that happened when my step-mom and I tried to take my cat's temperature one day. I had 5 to 6 band-aids all over my intercourse ing hand because of that cat, and one of the cuts didn't stop bleeding for like.. 4 to 5 hours.
Another scar on the back of my wrist, where I decided to put a cigarette out. Actually I have two burn scars, both from cigarettes, one below the other.
And NOW, a newcomer! Got a new scar just above my ankle. Got a little.. too drunk at a party, and tripped on my shoe when going down some stairs. I didn't roll or topple down, I just fell straight down. I tried to land on my knee, but landed on my foot and ankle instead. My foot and ankle hurt so much, I couldn't walk, and I didn't realize I was bleeding until I got home and changed into some PJs. For like, the next week I was limping.
All healed up nao.
I also have a chipped tooth. When I as a kid I tried to ride my bike without holding the handlebars. Went face-first into the ground.
I don't really have any interesting ones but I have a really faded one on my arm where my sister burnt me with an iron when she was chasing after me with it. I have a scar right next to my eye where I fell into chair when I was really young. There's also a scar on my pinkie that I have no idea where it came from and it has been there for as long as I can remember. There's various other scars too that I have no idea how got them.
Well scar wise I don't have much. Appendicits scar is about it really. I did chip my front tooth when I was about eight. I was watching my dad play horseshoes and sat on the backstop when he was throwing. He didn't know I was there, pulled his arm back and chipped off a portion of my front tooth.
I also "pushed" my cousin off a stack of grain in our grandpa's shed where he cut his head open on sod cutter. He got ninety stitches and has a crescent shaped scar on his forehead.
Uhh... let's see....
I remember on my way to a vacation, I was sitting in the backseat working on some homework, but we had to stop somewhere first. Unfortunately, when I went to open the door, I had left my pencil in a little pocket of the door and it somehow went into the palm of my hand. It hurt really bad at the time, but it wasn't so bad. I do remember my dad telling me that the scar would go away, but it never did.
There was another time when I was younger and in pre-school. We were having nap time like we always did in our cots. Somehow, my head jerks up and hits the metal bar at the top of my cot. I guess I cracked my head open? All I remember is that there was a lot of blood. I don't remember much about the incident, but for some reason the doctors gave me staples, instead of stitches, which has left me with a small bald spot that can be seen when I cut my hair short enough.
Oh and there was this one time when my mom was cleaning the house. She told me to stay seated on the couch because the floor was wet. Of course, like any toddler would do, I end up getting up and I start running. Nevertheless, I slide across the floor and into the corner of a wall. I don't remember much of this one at all.
...And my last scar was caused by that darn Big Bird. >:(
I don't really know what happened, but apparently I slipped and fell on top of a sharp Big Bird toy.
Instead of the doctor giving me stitches, he left me with a far noticeable scar on my face.
My family should have sued Sesame Street for making such deadly toys. >:( >:( >:(
All these things and more, have turned me into a paranoid, cautious person.
I have a few scars from the chicken pox because I was hard-headed, and popped most of the pus outta the scabs. >.>
