So, the inspiration of this thread came from the pothead gamers post a day or two ago...
Myself, i've done hydrocodine, lortab, adderal, metadate, and smoked weed (and do occasionally.)

also, what are your thoughts on 'illegal drug use'?
I think they're fine in moderation, as long as no one dies :X

No, I have not. I refuse to drink, I refuse to do drugs, etc. Straight Edge life, essentially.

I'm under the belief that our body does not deserve that. I am also under the belief that the day my life is bad enough that I need hallucinogens, then I'm not worth living.

I generally refuse medicine at hospitals, too, though. I won't take tylenol or advil, I won't take most cough medicines, or antibiotics. I believe in more natural remedies. And no, pot isn't natural.

Part of my opinion stems from having worked with former drug addicts or sellers. They told me how some of the things were made (Drain-O, does more then clean your pipes), and how their lives were effected. The other part stems from seeing what pain medication and the like did to my grandpa. His last few weeks, where he refused drugs, were some of his best.

As for recreational drug use, I'm completely against it. It's not safe for you, or anyone around you. Saying "as long as no one dies" is really a terrible statement - as more than anything, impairing yourself puts lives at risk. It doesn't matter how, it's just a matter of safety. Sure, there are responsible people, but numerous bad apples spoil the bunch.

I drink every once in a while, but it's only ever one or two, really.  Never get drunk, never been drunk, alcohol is not a "drug" in the general sense (though I would argue it is, legally it isn't, so I haven't done any drugs).

I've smoked weed. (Used to be a major pothead, but I barely smoke anymore)
I used to pop Xanax Bars all the time.
I've messed around with Triple C's (yay brain damage)

And I've gotten drunk once.
The hangover is not worth it. ;___;

just about all the stuff I've done was a one time thing... I take my time in looking up side effects, what not to do when on things.. etc.
Funny thing is... I used to be like you, completely refute medicine and doctors, all that stuff.
Another thing I realize is how certain drugs are made. The thing is though, not everything is made with stuff like that... I myself refuse to do anything that isn't verified as coming from an actual medical company, as I don't like the idea of eating rat poison or something.

I'm the same as you in the drinking regard... I drink maybe a glass of wine every few months. I've never been drunk, and don't really plan to.. too many people do stupid things while drunk.

Eh, saying someone is a bad person for doing drugs is moronic. There is motivation on all ends, however, my motivation for not doing drugs counters it. Simple as that.

You could argue I do take drugs, as caffeine is one, but I do believe you referred to things like crack, pot, C, X, etc. So, yeah.

Although, my perspective probably won't change. I know numerous people, friends of mine nonetheless, whom have taken drugs after saying the same thing I did. The difference between them and I is a lack of conformity.

Oh, quick thing. A while back, some of #nsider will remember this, I was drugged at a party. Rohypnol iirc. I didn't count that.

yep... for me, some of it was depression, boredom, or not being able to focus. (hence the adderal and metadate.)

I'm speaking of conformity in my town, as a vast majority of the town is on something. And I mean vast. We've had doctors, lawyers, cops, teachers, and bums prosecuted for drug trafficking, use, or possession. We have a ton of drugs all around, especially in my age group (14-18). Parties around here are increasingly worse (okay, maybe the it's just that the parties I'm going to are aged up a bit from before), and crime has gone up a bit D:

As for the being drugged thing, I don't recall much. Putting my drink down, taking it again, feeling weird, almost getting in a fight, driving (not a good idea), and being in irc with no one at home. However, I'm not sure how much of it I actually remember, and how much of it I remember because I was told about it. There are blanks in there, and definite....flashes. Apparently I was a total poop hole, and that is not something I pride myself on....to my girlfriend anyways.

Unless you count legally prescribed (and desperately needed) morphine and oxycodone for back surgeries as usage, no.

Legally Prescribed = Yes, nothing ever dangerous, except acutane for pimples/acme. It makes me have more energy, more stressed, thoughts about ropes and all of this stuff (Strangly enough, not on me) And so forth of stuff I can't remember, since I just remembered that with it, I have a less better memory.

Ilegally = lolno.

Other than prescribed or over-the-counter medicine, I never have nor plan to do drugs.
I don't even intend to drink alcohol, seriously. When I drink something, I choose it for the taste, not for some crazy psychoactive effect or to mess with my thoughts or anything like that.
I definitely don't intend to smoke any kind of stuff. Even if I wanted to, smoke triggers a bad cough for me. Though, I do once in a while have somebody say I look like a person that would smoke pot >_>

I kinda hate smoking by myself, it's boring. And the potheads that live here are always somewhere else, so yeah.

This is pretty much my philosophy on it. I'm not a big fan of drugs, hell I'm not even into coffee. And since I practice various sports as well as Judo, I can't afford it. But if it makes you happy and lets you live life the way you want it, toke up and have fun ;)

As much as I love trippy stuff, I don't have any intention of trying drugs.  I mean, LSD sounds fun, but I'm worried I'll get psychosis or HPPD, even though the latter sounds kind of fun in itself.

Acutane is supposed to make you tired, sore, etc.  at least that's what it did to me.

Weed, beer, and I almost had a chance once to do shrooms.  I was planing to, but something happened that basically canceled all plans.

I smoked so much weed I got over high, when you get so high your brain resets itself back to normal lol

I have this co worker named Glen....
he's white....but he acts "ghetto" (you know the type) well.... he jokes about it
"running them streets" and stuff......but I know he's some kind of drug dealer or "Middle Man".
He's gonna get shot......

THAT, scared me enough not to take it.
I would of taken it in my room..... and knowing me, I would of start thinking of
Demons and Devils and stuff like that (Which Would of REALLY Freaked me out) not to mention
my black cat would of scared the crap out of me, I would imagine.
Because of all that I decided not to take it....
I chickened out. :P
That was my closest encounter with a drug.

Alcohol- well......
From my experience with this substance.......
I been tipsy (twice) - Which is a light buzz/feel good feeling.
(this was about.... 4-6 shots of Lemon Drops which include Vodka, Sugar and Lemon)

I had a "hand grenade" before......... which is New Orleans most "Powerful" drink.......
THAT.......um...wow...
I was drunk..... but I was drunk enough to control every action and every word.
Like if a Police would of asked me a series of questions, I'd be able to answer them.
But I really felt the affects of THAT drink.....
Later on that night I threw up....... which from that experience isn't worth it anymore cause
I have a personal fear of throwing up in general.......
Ugh.

Then like a week later I had a Margarita......... worst tasting drink Ever....
Overall, I conclude that Alcohol in general.....
is disgusting...

Atleast to me...I can't see how people can constantly drink and drink and drink the stuff.

I'm more then willing to drink, but only as me being "Social" a.k.a Social Drinker.
Other then that, I will never touch the stuff, ever.

If you want to try a psychedelic drug, you can try shrooms.  If you start to have a bad trip, you can just drink some orange juice, or take some Vitamin C pills, and it'll lower the high. 

At least that's what I've been told.   

I took Addarall, as it was prescribed for my ADD.  Took it on an empty stomach, my stomach felt like it was being squeezed rly rly hard for all of first period.  Then, I felt normal the rest of the day.

Besides second hand smoke, no.  I had a sip of alcohol once, that's it.

I don't use drugs, but I do support the legalization of marijuana

I'm probably the least impressionable person around. I don't let people influence me into doing poop, but if its a party, hey, might as well have some fun :P

Sips of wine, beer, and all that. Alcohol doesn't taste good enough for me to want to drink enough to get drunk.

I've tried a little pot, once, but I dunno if I took enough to get high. >.> Either way it was pointless. I doubt I'll do any drugs again, but there's always a chance I would for curiosity's sake, just to know what it's like. But yeah, a total waste of money either way.

My mom's smoked all her life and my dad does like his drink. Because of that, I don't want to be how they are with that sort of stuff. My brother also does weed in the backyard all the time, and I'm not against it as much as I am other things, but it smells like poop.

The one thing that truly turned me away from alcohol was when my brother came home drunk one night and passed out on the floor. I had to drag him to his bedroom, literally, and put him in his bed. The kid is 200 something pounds. It wasn't easy for me when I was 15 years old.

I have tried drinking, and it was only in a state of real bad depression. I didn't like the way it tasted though, and the rest of the night at that party I felt alone not having drank anything. Still, I would never do it again.

Weed is just fine I so no reason why its illegal but alcohol isn't.

alcohol has huge detrimental long term effects, you can have too much of it, and it can kill you.

on the other hand, a Weed high you can snap out of if you concentrate on something else, the only real long term health detriment is a shorter attention span, and it's basically impossible to OD on.

If your not using them to get high (not sure if that's possible) than no not really...

No. I would never even think of doing anything like that. It's just not a good idea to mess with your body's normal processes, and it's extremely dangerous.

Drugs for illness and wine for religious purposes, but nothing for recreation. I hate the thought that I couldn't control myself rationally. And I hate the taste of wine.

I think painkillers not only kill your stomach, they just wreck your overall mental and physical well being.

I generally refuse medicine at hospitals, too, though. I won't take tylenol or advil, I won't take most cough medicines, or antibiotics. I believe in more natural remedies. And no, pot isn't natural.

Part of my opinion stems from having worked with former drug addicts or sellers. They told me how some of the things were made (Drain-O, does more then clean your pipes), and how their lives were effected. The other part stems from seeing what pain medication and the like did to my grandpa. His last few weeks, where he refused drugs, were some of his best.

As for recreational drug use, I'm completely against it. It's not safe for you, or anyone around you. Saying "as long as no one dies" is really a terrible statement - as more than anything, impairing yourself puts lives at risk. It doesn't matter how, it's just a matter of safety. Sure, there are responsible people, but numerous bad apples spoil the bunch.

I enjoyed my first time smoking because it relaxed me and made me feel like i loved everything and everyone. I just wanted to tell everyone and that tree i loved them <3. this, compared to being depressed a bunch before hand. but what the hell do I know, i'm a teenager.

I think we should. We spend billions on people who are in for having cannabis when, if legalized, we could create jobs, instead of spending the billions on the police divisions devoted to marijuana and the collection, imprisonment, and court costs, and in turn more money, and (possibly, hopefully) help our poopty economy. Just my 2 cents.

Won't do drugs because I don't feel the need to use them, don't want to pay that much cash for them, and frankly, don't want to mess up my body any more than I already do with my bad eating habits (lol). Don't drink because I think it's disgusting--I tasted wine when I was like 5 and champaigne when I was in middle school, and I've smelled beer... blech. Don't want anything to do with that stuff.

And I won't smoke because, once again, I think it's disgusting. Not the person, but the smoke itself. I freaking HATE second-hand smoke, I wish I was brave enough to be more of a jerk about it when people are smoking around me.

Yeah, way to post PCP, a drug that many of the most EXPERIENCED of drug users insist they will never try. It's known to do poop like that.

But for the record, there was an upcoming rapper who stabbed a girl he knew, and then ripped out her lungs and flesh and ate it while tripping. He ran into the streets naked and covered in blood. Now he's serving life.

You should be around my aunt when someone is smoking near her. She seriously raises hell.

It kinda goes like this:

Her: "OH MY GOD, WHO THE HELL IS SMOKING?! THAT SHIT IS GIVING ME A HEADACHE, IS IT THAT BITCH OVER THERE?!"

Then she somehow gets other people involved and basicly does that until the smoker leaves :P
