There were no roles. Bulbax (or whatever the pig riding dude's name was) was only there for filler...
We could go on forever about TP alone...so I guess something else. (worst 3D Zelda, by far)
Let's see...
Take an exploration game, but make it beyond linear, add shoddy voice acting and side characters no one likes, and make at least two wholly uninteresting sections due to them practically being a straight path.

Make a game where you fly through extremely expansive and fantastic worlds and then force the player to be on a rail the whole time.
...I'm still annoyed at that. I don't care if the original was like that too. It's stupid.

It's just laggy regardless...just not as much with friends because you know who you are connecting to. Too bad Nintendo won't actually pony up for some darn servers.
SSE was okay, it had it's moments but it was still just a generic beat 'em up. The boss battles were epic in a way.
Oh, and here's a good one:
Take a game where the only reason someone would play it is that they could go fast and add team elements that require you to slow down, three unneeded difficulty levels, and add in a theme song to make it somewhat better.

Although I don't really complain about Dark story though. The extra difficulty was kind of fun. It's Team Rose (c'mon, a three year old could beat Team Rose) and Chaotix...they were utter crap.

I've hardly played any sonic games lol - never had a sega system, and from what I've heard, all sonic games since then haven't been great.
I liked a bit of sonic heroes, but yeah, it did seem really dumb, considering how sonic is classically supposed to be superspeedy.

Voice commands were cool, but the only way to move units was to have them go to predetermined points on the map.
And, you can't move the camera away from your units.
Take one of the most amazing games ever and make the sequel so easy and short a three year old has the attention span and ability too beat it. And take any incentive to explore the map.
Take a potentially decent shooter and give it the worst controls ever.
Take a great shooting game that could work perfectly in multiplayer, but give it only four maps, no online, no character depth, and a attach a lousy swordplay aspect to it.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2006

I liked the multiplayer, but it feels so skin deep. The awkward sword controls made it such a ninny to use them at all (you mostly die trying to), and when trying to reload you almost always accidentally use it.
Nothing about the single player was fun. Go on straight path killing guys, kill relatively easy dude with a sword, repeat until you get to the last dude in the level who is impossibly hard to beat and by then you forgot all your sword moves.

MP2 was a good game, but it was a vast departure from what the series is about (well, fusion did it first, but retro didn't develop that game).
As I've always said, MP2 is a good game if not metroid, but the instant you factor it into what the metroid series has been (metroid, super metroid, prime, 2) and how exploration-based they were, MP2 feels incredibly restrictive.
MP3 is the best game on the wii (though No More Heroes with like... double the length would be better IMO), and a great game, but it just doesn't match up to what the series used to be.

SAKURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI >:(
Let Nintendo EAD develop a Donkey Kong game.
Take an awesome and insanely hard FPS and make it easier, add a story (Which it doesn't need one.), get rid of all the awesome Enemies, and weapons, and make the final boss so hard a good player can't even beat it in under an hour.
Focus more on the little fun details and bonus modes instead of the simple, actual, basic gameplay.
It's not just Brawl >_<
Make the controls hard to get used to, and make the timing vauge.
And lag riddle it, to boot.
First, create an amazing action/adventure game.
Then when it's about time to start on the sequel, which is actually a prequel to the first, give it average graphics, awful controls, lots of lag/delays, lack of consistent storyline to the first, thus resulting in loads of retconning, make the enemies sadistically difficult, make the new protaganist even more emo and wangst filled than a certain Cloud, and top it off with the biggest WTF Ending in Video Game history. If you can get that far.
Then top the presentation off with "oh wait".

Take a game that was made for 360 or PS3 and put it on the Wii...
Take an up-and-coming franchise, make several spin-offs, and expect hardcore gamers to love it.

Take an already good game for the 360, add motion controls to it, change the title, and make it for the Wii.
