I'd advise just watching gameplay footage to explain it but It's basically like an old NES game (Something similar to Metroid or Castlevania, hm?) meeting some new tricks. and some nice touched up stuff. Also It has an awesome Soundtrack. Listen now (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t88Mtc_Znd4) - Through the only thing I majorly find outstanding is the soundtrack.
You can just download it for free anyways (Legally) and delete it If you dislike it.

Retro is the best kind of gaming. Everyone should appreciate new games done in a classic style. It's way better than any other unoriginal piece of garbage being put out on current consoles.

I admit, some games that are out (especially by Nintendo) is worst then Garbage.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. NICALIS ACTUALLY KEPT THEIR WORD AND RELEASED IT TODAY.
I bought the game, and it's amazing. I've never played the PC version, but it's really nice. I like how the weapons are used.

Fair enough; Though you can still discuss it without having to discuss the new features but the new features are rather topical.
Looks to have a few more tweaks here and there that make it closer on the "Worth it" Scale but I'm not sold myself. Too much on my mind just to even finish.

Um, bad news...
Apparently, there have been reports that the Wiiware version has several bugs, and that the music is sometimes misplaced. I experienced one and my screen froze when I wanted to enter the egg room.
Yeah, I heard the Wii version has bugs in it. What really gets to me is the way the original music loops incorrectly, and how the new music is missing instruments.
Disregard the loud noise the experience makes whenever it hits the floor, regardless of SFX setting...
Nicialis did a horrible job at porting it. It's all intercourse ed up.
Play the PC version for the best game ever.

Nicalis hyped me up for a kickass port of what's widely regarded was the best freeware PC game ever, and they didn't deliver. All they delivered was Cave Story...with better graphics. This game is the reason I never sent my Wii in, and while it's good in its own right, the two years they spent making this didn't show.
Hopefully they'll make things just a
little better with a patch. Just a
little.

But as something regarded at least one of the best PC games 1200 points is a bit steep when I can get it legally for free. I've been saying this for quite some time now.

It can't read the discs I put into it, but that's about it. Doesn't stop me from downloading games.
So, a few people recommended this game to me and I actually played it. But I can't really comment on how much Nicalis screwed up the original. I'm really enjoying the game, so I think it's something only people who played the original notice?

What do you mean by screwed up? Things like little details in the text and names?
That's not "screwing up" the game, it's merely translating it a different way. The original Cave Story's translation was fan-made and not at all affiliated with the creator of the game itself so some things are localized different in an official translation.
