Link is a child in Zelda 1 and 2... TP and OoT are the only ones where he is an adult :P

He looks like an adult in Zelda 2, and Zelda 2 takes place several seasons after Zelda 1, so he would be an adult in both of them

And thus we open up the paradox of the zelda timeline. I don't believe there is any correct relation between the 2 games right now. Maybe in the future but for now, we can't judge Z1 Link as Z2 Link.
