He started to dislike you and didnt want to be your friend anymore.  He was trying to find a way to not be your friend anymore but couldnt think of anything.  He didnt want to say it to your face because he didnt have the guts to. So right at that moment when you took his dollar, he saw his way out of that friendship.  He knows he is exaggerating but he really has no other plan and this was the easiest way out of that friendship.

I've tried apologizing to my friend and he won't forgive me. I've been depressed over the last few days because he wouldn't talk to me, but even after trying to say how sorry I am and for him to totally disregard me afterwards, I say screw it.

well, in my other post a few days ago, I said I snatched a 5 dollar bill out of his hands and didn't give it back to him until the last period of the day. I mean, I know I shouldn't have done that but we are friends and he knew I'd give it back to him. Now, he won't look at me, talk to me or anything.
