Beat it. Shortest Sonic game I've played in recent memory. And I sucked at certain points.

Fun, though.

also, there's 3 spaces left in Battle Mode. No idea who they could be, aside from the two characters talked about earlier.
Sonic
Knuckles
Shadow
Blaze
Silver
Jet
Tails
Amy
Black Knight *yes, he's playable in multiplayer*
Ah, I guess that makes sense.
There's also the three knights: they're separate from the Sonic characters. So, you can have one player as Shadow, and another as Lancelot, or something.
I counted those together as one just to avoid redundancy...

Oh, I see. Sorry.

Played a lot today. My fingers hurt. Here's some fun stuff that you can probably find out through GameFaqs or something.

Battle Mode Characters
I unlocked Silver and the Black Knight. Silver appeared after doing a after-story battle: Lancelot Returns. The Black Knight appeared after getting the 5 stories of King Arthur. Jet has not been unlocked, but I unlocked his portrait or something in the Extras mission. His name is Sir Ra...something, and the description says he dual-wields.
Legacy Stages
Each/most areas seem to have a Legacy stage, in which rings are gotten similar to previous games, classic Sonic bumpers appear, and those flying Egg Bots appear, able to be killed with homing attacks. They're not hard at all, and some of them will reward you with a colored ring, which I believe is suppose to be a World Ring from SatSR.

edit: also, said Legacy stages are not from previous games, sorry if I got hopes up/
So far, I'm enjoying this game a lot. It has it's flaws, such as how short the story is. For the most part, though, it's an enjoyable game. It's worth at least a rental.

The legacy system stages seem cool. As for Jet....dual wield? Eh.

I think the only way to kill the enemies in Legacy stages is with a homing attack. Sword attacks seemed like they just scratched off.

Gawain/Knuckles dual-wields as well, so I'm guessing the two are similar aside from special moves in Battle Mode.
Speaking of which, I unlocked Jet. You need to get 5-stars on a "Beat the Clock"-like mission in the Great Megalith. Not incredibly hard, if you can keep killing enemies.

Silver is Sir Gallahad, Jet is Sir Lamorak. I haven't played Battle Mode yet, so I can't say how it is.

Also, getting the World Rings from the Legacy Stages gets you Crush 40's version of SatSR's theme.
Initial Impressions:
Graphics and sound are great
Story is actually good, with every mission making a mild amount of sense, as far as ones that affect the story go unlike Secret Rings.
Sonic himself controls okay
the swordfighting controls are bad at best. So far it's been mindless arm flailing... I can't seem to get the hang of it, and zero skill seems to be needed.
