It's the Mexican Government's fault for tacitly encouraging this.  Notice that they don't give a s*** about their workforce escaping en masse from their country.  Because they actually benefit from it.  So they don't give a s*** about really improving their own land.

Why would they?  Having more people in their country means more people to support, more resources they need to spend on infrastructure.  Why do all that if they can just do the bare minimum and just let the country go to the s***ters, have all their able-bodied people migrate to the US, and get free untaxed money pumped back into the country to support the remaining population?

Yeah exactly.  People tend to spin this all about something about the cause of the poor, but it's not really about that at all.

The US government has its share to blame on all this because they let this happen without retribution, and the American people and the media also are to blame because they play on the politicians' fears.

The people here care so much about about the welfare of migrants (which is a good thing, don't get me wrong), who are almost worthless in the countries that they're from, that they don't even see the invisible hand and the long term damages it's causing.  The Mexican government knows that and is taking advantage of us and will continue to do so as long as we are prey to kindness.

Because we share a border with mexico and we get all of em comin over here. So my state is happy to share it with the others :P.
