I need help with playstation 2 and 3

my playstation 2 wont play games that are compact discs. I want to get a playstation 3 but there is a problem: the original playstation 3's have backwards compatiblility, so the games would play perfectly, but the compact discs still might not play because its the same hardware as the playstation 2. the newer playstation 3's use emulation, which doesnt work as good as compatibility, but they might play the compact discs better.


FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME WITH THIS!!!!!!!!

my only geuss that of someting that can help is, buy the newest 80gb PS3

some games just don't work alright? Sony moves forward and never looks back, it's best you just move on too.
