Public schools aren't technically allowed to let people off for religious holidays. Although I doubt the athiests would be complaining about an extra free day.

My school district calls it a "Teacher Planning Day", even though everyone knows the true reason we have it off.

I'm not complaining about the three days off in addition to the weekend which the holiday is on.  I still celebrate the holidays, as my parents originally raised me as a Lutheran.  We seem to have gotten off this year for the Jewish holidays as well.

I'm on Spring Break, I go back Monday.

Also, they never let us out for stuff like this. They usually plan it all over the Spring Break so they don't have to let people off.

I've been on Spring Break since last Thursday. I go back next Tuesday the 25th I believe.
