Who cares about Dec. 3 no one has made a topic about Christmas yet! I think the update on christmas will be Sakurai saying Merry Christmas and a video with all the characters wearing santa hats what do you gys think?

I think you're dreaming. If Sakurai celebrates Christmas I wouldn't blame him if he didn't update that day.

Christmas is a Christian and secular holiday celebrated in most civilized places in the world. There will be an update, though, since the updates are premade. All someone has to do is click the upload button on the website

For everybody in this thread who thinks otherwise, Christmas IS celebrated in Japan. It's not an official holiday but still popular.
I don't think Sakurai will celebrate any holidays though. As far as I know, he didn't update anything of particular importance on Tanabata.

EDIT: Oh, Tanabata this year was on August 19, a Sunday. The week before Tanabata had Pokemon Trainer, Devil, Stickers, Tether Recovery, and Peach (two character updates). The week after had Link: Special Moves, The Subspace Army (has a video), Diddy Kong, Yoshi: Final Smash, Animal Crossing: Go K.K. Rider! Song, and Petey Piranha.

Sakurai hasn't updated for holidays yet, and I don't see why he would start. He put in a pumpkin on the stage for halloween, but that's about it.

Well Christmas is "the" holiday of one of the universal religions, so it's not farfetched for him to give us a holiday greeting or something. However, I'm more worried about whether the US will get the update since most of the United States is closed. Japan and other countries where Christmas isn't official might get it, but we might have to wait an extra day... though it's Christmas, so no one should notice anyway...

If anything bad comes up, I think they probably should have FTP access to the US servers from Japan.

thats a weird idea...and if he will post something special for us on christmas...its the US release of the everybody's nintendo channel and the brawl demo will be the first!!! who's with me!?
