Pokémon budget

Is the movie budget for Pokémon movies better than the show? Cause, especially lately, the animation in the movies is pure awesome, great effects and such. Then the show...it pretty much a 2D crap fest compared to the movies.

If you want people to buy the movies, wouldn't you make the show look as good as the movie?
