GrimTuesday

These are the bosses i've decided on so far for my fan game, Legend of Zelda: War of Time. I am no longer taking requests for boss ideas.

The Bosses are set out -
Title:
Name:
Dungeon:
How to beat them:
Because there are two portions of my game, the present and the past, the Bosses will be grouped accordingly. Also there are 3 mini-dungeons which will be shown after the normal dungeon bosses. The final sections bosses aren't really bosses but they are difficult battles that you can choose to face while exploring Hyrule.

I will upload pictures whenever I can.

~Enjoy!

P.S. I love constructive criticism so please rate and comment!

P.S.S. If anyone knows a website where I can host the music for these bosses (yes I even got music for them!) please PM me the name of the site!

P.S.S.S. I'm not revealing the final boss, I plan to make it really epic

SPIRIT BOSSES

DERANGED APE
DEKUBO
FARORE'S GROVE

Being the first boss, Dekubo is very easy to beat, when you first enter the boss room, you will notice all of the trees scattered around the area, it's like a big forest! Dekubo will be taunting you on the tree at the far north, he pulls out a bomb ready to strike! This fight is simple, when he pulls a bomb out aim your Slingshot at the bomb and release! It should explode in his hands dealing this crazy monkey quite a bit of damage. The only thing you really have to watch out for is when you are aiming with your Slingshot he might swing down and steal it, you have to get it back by climbing a vine on one of the trees and picking it up (it will be placed randomly on one of the trees), but while you are up there DON'T try and slice him of he'll just jump away, leaving a bomb in your face! As the battle progresses Dekubo's movements will become more rapid, making it difficult to hit him, but after 3 hits he'll fall face first on the ground, rewarding you with your first heart container.

BLAZING SPIRIT
DIN
DIN'S CATACOMB

You enter a room with a breakable ceiling and breakable walls; it's already obvious something is going to explode! At the far end of the room there is a shiny red gem floating in the air, Well looks like getting this Essence of the Gods would be easier than we thought! As you go to grab it, the gem turns black and flames begin blazing up from it on all sides, a face appears in the flame... Oh my god... IT'S THE GODDESS OF POWER, DIN! Begin the fight by pulling the chain on the wall, make sure you dodge all of Din's attacks while pulling the chain. When you finish pulling the chain some lava starts shooting up from the room underneath and some of the blocks in the floor begin to rise up when the lava does and down when the lava stops. The breakable ceiling can't be broken just by throwing a bomb at it, so place a bomb on the platform, when it goes up the bomb will explode, the roof will break, and rain will tear at the sky. The rain weakens Din, so while she's down go and slash at the black gem, after a few hits Din will retreat to the next room, ready to take another shot at destroying you! Go to the next room and repeat the chain, bomb, rain, slash combo two more times (her attacks will get faster and faster each time) and Din will burst into flames, the black coating around the gem will break, congratulations! You have have succesfully completed the second dungeon!

(Note: If you tried to bomb the wall before Din, had blown a whole through it, you would have surely failed, when you get a Powder Keg come back here and blow up the crack in the third room, your prize will be worth the time it took retracing your steps! Because inside a chest is a piece of heart!)

ELECTRIC SNAPPER
FARIBES
NAYRU'S BAY

PHASE 1
Swim to the top level of the Water Temple and open the door with that Big Key you acquired, enter the room. Link looks around and suddenly a giant fish jumps out of the water and dives back down to the other side, I don't know about you but I'm having fish for dinner! If you tried attacking it with the Boomerang I doubt it worked because Faribes is invincible to the Boomerang, we'll have to take a different approach, if you look up on the ceiling you'll see a stalactite, Aim with your Boomerang and get it to knock down the stalactite so it hits Faribes in the back, this doesn't requires precise timing because Faribes will occasionally stop midair to attack you but if you do get the timing wrong,
A: If you do it to early Faribes will jump up out of the water and smash it with his tail, or
B: If you do it too late it will miss Faribes completely!
If you had the right timing that big snapper should hit the stalactite you knocked down and come crashing to the ground, but that didn't make it completely hopeless! It's eye can send blasts of electricity at you (trust me these are REALLY HARD to dodge) so while he's charging up a blast send your Boomerang at his eye, that will stop him from shooting those blasts, You've probably noticed those poles with netting on them that are scattered around the middle platform, climb up one of them, and wait on top, there is a switch which and when stepped on causes the middle platform to quickly rise and smash Faribes into the sealing! Yum, Minced Fish! I don't think Faribes is very hungry because he dives back into the water ready to take another shot at you.

PHASE 2
Use the same method on him again, (although this time you can't hit his eye because he has put up a shield around it), so when you are climbing up the pillar watch out for the lightning (the best way to avoid it is as soon as you hear him shooting stop climbing! He'll shoot just above you and miss) and as soon as you reach the top step on the switch and our fishy friend will get another squishing! He hops back into the water ready for one more round!

PHASE 3
Faribes has few attacks, but they are formidable!, When he is in the air he'll usually attack by shooting numerous lightning bolts around the middle platform (and sometimes the other platforms as well) in random places, if you are on top of a pillar he will jump up and hit the pillar trying to knock you off, when he is on the ground Faribes will attack with the lightning bolts described before in Phase 1 and his final attack which he only uses in the final phase is shooting every pillar and sending an electrical current traveling up and down the pillars which you will have to dodge on your way up, the good thing about this attack is it leaves him electrically discharged so he can't send bolts at you. Climb up the pillar and stand on the switch for the final time. Faribes is finally dead and you can claim the Heart Container he leaves behind.

ESSENCE BOSSES

FEROCIOUS INSECT
MOTHULA
WIND FORTRESS

PHASE 1
After falling through the hole in the floor you'll land in a long room, in the top right hand corner of this room on a platform (you can't reach it yet) some bokoblins spot you one of them starts pulling a leaver and the other ones block the only way out with a wall of flame caused by their arrows, the floor starts moving towards the right hand wall which is lined with dangerous looking spikes!  All of a sudden a giant moth bursts through the ceiling, let the battle begin! Mothula begins by blowing a gust of wind at you if it hits then it'll leave you face first in the floor, which doesn't make it any easier to avoid the floor taking you into the spikes. The trick to beating Mothula is to wait until she's about to blow a gust of wind at you then shoot an arrow directly into her eye.

PHASE 2
Oh no! Now she's really upset! And she has another attack in store for you, she can send a swarm of Mothulatites after you! Respond by picking them off with spin-attacks then get another Arrow shot in her eye.

PHASE 3
Mothula learnt something, little heroes in green tunics burn! Now she can shoot fireballs at you, this wouldn't be that much of a problem except that they follow you wherever you go! When the fire ball is in range hit it with a spin attack it'll go flying right back at Mothula she'll respond by covering her eye with her wing and sending it back, keep batting it back and forth until it hits her in the eye once again (watch out! Mothula can use other attacks while she's playing tennis with you, if she sends a gust of wind dodge it then hit the fireball and if she sends out the Mothulatite swarm try to hit the Mothulatites and the fireball in one hit). Repeat step three two more times and Mothula will fall to the ground and explode your business is done here... Wait! The bokoblins on the platform! Without Mothula to protect them they're nothing but cowards, they switch off the moving floor, jump down and run off through the door, don't bother with them, you'll fight them again and you can show of your new Heart Container when you next meet them.

(NOTE: Come back here later when you've acquired the Clawshot and use it on the Clawshot medallion above the platform. On the platform you'll find a chest it contains a Piece of Heart)

Skeletal Warrior
STALLORD
SHADOW TOWER

You enter a near pitch-black room with several pillars scattered around the place. You slowly walk forward and on the far wall you see two red eyes light up, a giant skeleton with a sword and shield of equal proportions stomps towards you, the giant warrior opens it's mouth and lets out a bellowing battle cry, let the fight begin!

PHASE 1
Stallord will start by slowly walking towards you, once in range he will swing his mighty sword at you. Try and get him to hit one of the many pillars scattered around the room. If he hits one it will break off from the ceiling and fall on top of him. Use your Clawshot and grapple onto his helmet give it a few timed slashes with your sword then finish off with a spin attack and a crack will emerge in the helmet. He'll roar with anger, get up and shake you off, repeat this three times and you'll destroy his helmet, you'll see a bulging brain popping out the back of his skull.

PHASE 2
The pillar trick won't work on him again, so you'll have to go about it a different way. He also has a new attack if you see him hold his sword above his head, run away, it means he's doing a half circle slice so make sure you're behind him by the time he executes his attack. When he does the normal slice if it doesn't connect with Link his sword will get stuck in the ground. While he's struggling to pull it out climb onto his sword, Stallord will pull his sword out of the ground sending you flying into the air, now you will notice a Clawshot emblem on the roof that was too high to reach before, but not now! Clawshot onto it while still in the air and drop down onto Stallord's back (don't lower yourself on the chain or he will swing his sword at you and knock you into the wall). Once on Stallord's back he will try to shake you off, hold left and right when the icon appears on the screen then slash away! Repeat this step three more times and his bulging brain will explode right before your eyes.

ICE BEAST
DIGDOGGER
SNOWHEAD CAVERN

PHASE 1
Enter the room and take note of the 4 pillars in every corner of the room there should be a spiked block on top of the pillar in the north-east corner of the room. Move to the center of the room, what's that sound? Suddenly a giant eye pops out of the ground launches itself in the air and land in the hole it appeared through, sealing the hole behind it, Link meet Digdogger. As soon as you regain control of Link (after the cutscene) run over to the pillar we talked about before and use the Magnet Gloves to pull the spiked block off of the pillar, and when Digdogger pokes his head out of the ground use the gloves to ram the spiked block into his head, this should leave him dazed for a moment so grab your Ball and Chain and hit him in the eye, but that's not enough to stop him! He burrows into the ground ready to keep fighting.

PHASE 2
Digdogger has quite a few attacks, all very similar, the attack he uses most often sends him flying in the air then straight back down... On top of you! He'll also shoot ice blasts after you've hit him twice with the Ball and Chain which freeze you for a few seconds giving him enough time to jump on you. His final attack involves sending Ice blasts at the torches around the room, making everything pitch-black so he can attack in the dark. When he does this whip out your Fire Arrows and send one at each of the four corners of the room (just guess where they are) you could also use your Lantern but it's a lot harder and slower than Fire Arrows.

PHASE 3
After 3 hits in the eye with the Ball and Chain Digdogger will separate into 3 smaller worm-like creatures that try to escape. When you see a hole form in the ground it means a worm is coming up so stand near it and give the worm a welcoming gift, a slash of two in the face! Repeat this on all the worms to claim your next piece of heart.

POSSESED IDOL
DARUMA
WOODFALL TEMPLE

PHASE 1
You enter a circular room with spiral stairs around the perimmiter, a giant statue is sitting in the center of the circle. Suddenly, the statues eyes begin to glow and it springs to life get ready for battle! Equip your recently acquired Spinner and run up the flight of stairs, Daruma will attempt to hit you with beams from it's eyes but if you just keep running they won't hit you. When you reach the top of the flight of stairs you will see a Spinner launcher, propell yourself up into the air and land in the hole in the top of Daruma. You will go falling down and land in the bottom part of Daruma, realizing something is wrong Daruma will split itself up and the rest of his "body" will start moving around the arena like a Pinball machine. You have to use the Spinner activated switch inside the part of Daruma that you are in, this will allow you to take control of Daruma's bottom part. Try and knock one of the other parts of Daruma's body into his head (don't try and hit the head straight on or it will knock you into the swamp water, you will also be knocked into the swamp water if a piece of Daruma's body hits you while it is charging). After doing this three times, Daruma will break the stairs and drain the swamp water, revealing a Spinner Track.

PHASE 2
Daruma has 3 attacks, shooting beams from his eyes, playing pinball (both mentioned earlier) and he is also able to rapidly spin while shooting beams in a laser show-esque performance. Go onto the Spinner Track and start spinning around the arena, when you get behind Daruma, launch at his bottom section, knocking it straight off, do the same with the third, second and first parts of his body, and as soon as you see an open space on his back hit it with the Spinner 3 times and Daruma will explode granting a heart piece to the courageous hero who destroyed him.

SHADOWS OF THE SKY
TWINLEECHEN
PALACE OF THE HEAVENS

You enter a square shaped room with a falling floor (much like the mini-boss room, but MUCH, MUCH larger), suddenly everything starts rumbling, the floor begins to fall and you go down with it! You land on one of the falling blocks and along side you on both sides are two large walkways, on the walkways two Bipedal Bugs rush past, the shadows of the sky... Twinleechen! Begin the fight by jumping (with the Roc's Feather) onto the falling blocks so you can get as close to either of the bosses as possible, jump onto the track, and smack the ground with your Tremor Hammer, the boss will fall down with a crash and begin rolling along the path. Jump back onto the falling blocks and try to keep up with the one that is rolling, he will attempt to knock you off the block by shooting little flying bugs at you called Leechers, just strike them with your sword to avoid getting hit. The only attack you should watch out for is the beams sent by the still standing Leechen, they will only hit you if you stay still (like beamos blasts). Jump onto the rolling Leechen's back and he will get up and try to knock you off his back with Leechers just slash with your sword to get rid of them, Twinleechen's weak spot is the glowing gem on their back, smack it with your Tremor Hammer 3 times and the Leechen you were attacking will knock you off onto a falling block. Repeat 3 times for each Leechen and they will succumb. Wait... You're still falling! It's too late, you're gonna crash! You hit the ground with a thud and the Heart Piece falls peacefully beside you. That's a job well done!

DESERT DEMON
ARMOTHWOMP
PRISON OF SILENCE

PHASE 1
You've faced giant fish, blazing gods and ferocious insects but nothing can prepare you for this battle! Using your Bombs chuck one into this spinning top's head, don't worry he won't attack you at all... Yet! All of the faces should light up and it will continue to spin like it was before the bomb. Equip your Mirror Shield and shine the correct coloured light onto the face of the same colour, if you hit the wrong coloured face one of 4 different attacks will be shot from Armothwomp,
If you hit the red side with the wrong light it will shoot a fire attack which will set you on fire and slowly drain health until the fire burns out.
If you hit the green side with the wrong light Armothwomp will shoot a laser at you similar to the beamos.
If you hit the blue side a Ice Attack will be shot at you and will freeze you for a short period of time.
If you hit the yellow side an electric homing attack will be shot from Armothwomp.
Successfully hit all of the sides with the right colour and Armothwomp will drop down to the ground and start spinning around in circles, a sand storm will brew around Armothwomp. Pull him out with the Clawshot and slice until he starts glowing, if you hit him while he is glowing you will get attacked by him, once again the colour of his glow depends on the attack.

PHASE 2
After Armothwomp takes a beating, the Bokoblins from your fight with Mothula raise him up by some strings, like a puppet! First you'll have to use your Bow & Arrow, shoot all of the strings so Armothwomp falls down, and watch out because the bokoblin gang is constantly sending Fire Arrows in your direction. When he is on the ground the bokoblins will try and lift him up again, use your Tremor Hammer and smash him into the ground, the bokoblins can't pull up so they retreat behind their shields and continue to shoot Fire Arrows at you. Place a bomb in the top of Armothwomp and after a few seconds he will be blasted up into the air and get stuck in the roof. Stand directly under him and use the spinner to kick up enough dust to blow him off of the roof, just as he is about to hit the ground he stops and starts levitating, His eyes light up... It's time to start the real fight!

PHASE 3
Now it's just an amped up version of Phase 1 just go about beating him the same way, the only differences are...
A: The Bokoblin gang is shooting at you.
B: Armothwomp is faster.
C: Armothwomp doesn't move in a set pattern, he circles around the room.
and D: Armothwomp can attack of his own will, without you having to attack him first!
As was mentioned before repeat Phase 1 to defeat him, the only extra tip we can give you is NEVER STOP MOVING! If you just keep strafing around him only pausing slightly to shine some light on him. He should be finished in no time!

PHASE 4
After he has exploded the Heart Piece is as good as your... Hey wait, the bokoblin gang just ran off with the Heart Piece! They create a teleporter beam and escape, but the fight isn't over yet! run into the beam of light and you will be taken back outside of the boss room the Bokoblins are taunting you at the exit of this room, you have to go backwards through all of the rooms in the dungeon to get the Heart Piece back. It should be easy enough. When you get outside the Bokoblins will be trying to climb the gate, when they notice you they turn around, this time they have no choice... There is nowhere to run, it's a fight to the death! This fight isn't as easy as taking out any normal bokoblins, they will have four archers in the back row, 3 clubbed warriors in the middle row and a heavily guarded bokoblin in the front line. Start with the back row then move onto the middle row, and finally the Big Armoured Bokoblin. Take out the big one the same way as you would a Darknut. After they have been defeated the bokoblin who stole the Heart Piece will be trying to climb the fence. He falls off, and the Heart Piece comes bouncing towards you. Claim the Heart Piece and then look at the fence, there is a whole that has been dug under it. Looks like he got away again! Don't worry though, you'll face him again, and when you do he'll wish that he'd never been born!

IRON SPARK
DEFFECTES
HYRULE CASTLE

As you enter the palace gardens 3 gates open up at the other side of the gardens, 10 Sparks and 1 giant bowling-ball like creature come out of the gate, get ready to face the Iron Spark, Deffectis! Start the battle with your Light Arrows at the ready; you're going to need them! Deffectis attacks by either rolling into you or shooting you with beams that must be blocked with the Mirror Shield. To defeat it you must wait until a Spark comes along and create a portal for the Spark to go through, then create a portal near Deffectis so that the Spark hits Deffectis, it will then jump into the air and shoot beams all over the area create a pair of portals so that the laser goes through one, out the over and straight into Deffectis. It will come crashing to the ground where you can slash at it, repeat twice and Deffectis is destroyed rewarding you with the last Essence of Enigma! The only thing to watch out for is when he increases in speed and his new attacks, where he merges with a Spark and becomes electrified and when he jumps in the air and charges at you.

MINI-BOSSES
PHANTOM GHOUL
JAHALLA
BENEATH THE WELL

Your quest to restore Jolene's spirit is almost complete; as you enter the final room of the well you should hear some shuffling and popping sounds, turn on your Lens of Truth and a giant Poe appears in front of you screams in your face and then disappears, the strongest Poe of all, Jahalla, is the last obstacle in your way to gaining the spirit of a poor little girl... You better not be thinking of running away! Jahalla starts by stealing your items and if he steals your Lens of Truth you're going to have a hard time beating him because it's the only item that lets you see him! To reclaim your items you'll have to kill all the Poes in the room that he summons (which are also invisible without the Lens of Truth and must be tracked by listening to the sounds they make). Although Jahalla is weak on his own, he can summon Poes, Wallmasters and Floormasters to attack you, and if you get caught by the Floormasters or Wallmasters they take you back to the start of the boss so dodge them as best as you can! To beat this boss you will have to use the Lens of Truth to reveal invisible platforms all over the area, jump onto the closest one and continue jumping along them until you're in jumping distance of Jahalla's lantern. When you reach Jahalla's lantern hold on by following the prompts on the top of the screen, when Jahalla stops shaking you around wait for a Wallmaster to come down from the ceiling and jump off at the last second so it grabs Jahalla's lantern, a cutscene will show the Wallmaster slamming Jahalla into the wall. While he is unconscious, four invisible torches will appear around the room, use the Lens of Truth to see them and then use the Lantern to light all the torches before they go out and Jahalla will scream in pain. Rinse & Repeat twice and Jahalla will fall rewarding you with Jolene's spirit, excellent job, hero! Now hurry back to Jolene and restore her spirit!

TOXIC HAZE
SMOG
RUINS OF ROSES

PHASE 1
As you enter the second to last room of the Ruins of Roses a terrible shriek smashes all the windows and haze forms in the center of the room, Smog is ready for battle! The battle starts with a symmetrical pattern of blocks forming on either side of the room and Smog splitting into 4 smaller Smog-like enemies that will float around the room. They attack by ramming into you, or zapping you with lightning, they can also teleport so be on your guard! To defeat them use the Cane of Somaria in correspondence with the blocks around the room so two or more Mini-Smogs hit each other, they will then merge into a larger Smog and when they have all been merged you can slash at him, repeat 3 times and Smog will go into his next form.

PHASE 2
Smog will once again split into 4 parts and at the same time 4 Spectrum Blocks will appear in each corner of the room, the four Mini-Smogs will float around changing colours, attack them just like you would with Jattass, the only difference being that the Jattass don't change colour. Smog keeps all of his attacks throughout the battle and when they have all been destroyed you can move on to the final phase.

PHASE 3
Smog will be angry now and boulders will start falling from the roof as Smog flies around attacking you with lightning and ramming you. To defeat his final form use the Cane of Pacci and send the boulders to the roof, hitting Smog. Repeat this 3 times and he will finally be defeated letting you proceed to the Great Fairy Fountain in the last room.
