This is the replica of the famous Jedi and Sith weapon from the epic Star Wars® series, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the original film's release. Its sturdy glowing blade is composed of a string of bright LEDs encased in a shatterproof polycarbonate sheath, and when turned on it reproduces the actual initialization sound used in the films. As it powers up, the LEDs illuminate in sequence, providing the illusion of a focused beam of energy emanating from the hilt. Built-in motion sensors detect blade movement and generate authentic sounds; it emits its classic hum when idle, makes a swooshing sound when swung, and produces the same clashing sound heard during the films' battles when it taps another object or lightsaber. The hi lt is crafted from durable aluminum and polyethylene, and faithfully reproduces every detail from the original movies. Ages 12 and up. Blue bladed version from Star Wars® Episode IV-A New Hope. Requires three AA batteries. The manufacturer has confirmed that this item meets U.S. Federal toy safety standards for lead.  44" L x 2" Diam. (1 lb.)

These are $119.95 each

Should I get one?

You know I have always wanted to get one of those. I am such a Star Wars geek :P

If you really want one go for it as long as you have the money to.

Now that I'll be moving to a place that's a LOT cheaper I'll have some extra cash.  I just got paid from my second job so I really want to get one.

Meh, I have one of those.  Went to the Star Wars III midnight showing and me and my younger brother (with his saber) did a very short choreographed "fight".  It's not a toy, it's a replica, so don't treat it like those plastic ones that you see in toy stores.  Never swing it as hard as you can.  Whether it will shatter or not, I haven't tested, but if you're rough with it, you CAN damage the L.E.D.s.. some will be dimmer.. while some will go out completely.

Mine have a few dimmed here and there.. it's a little bit noticable.. while my brother's may act like this:

(=======)=====OOOOOOOO=========

And it looks like a detached beam since not all of them light up anymore.. @_@

Overall, it's fun, but it's really just for show.  I have mine on display in my room.

Just choreograph some "fights" in your backyard.  I think putting on something like that is the best, but other than that, you're likely to damage the L.E.D.s.
NES, SNES, N64, GCN (Jet Black), PQ (JPN), Wii, GBP (Clear), GBC (Green x2), GBASP (x2 Cobalt, x1 NES), DSLite (Black), SG3, SDC (x1 BIG, x1 Clear black top, solid grey/beige bottom), PS (x2), PS2 (Slim, Silver), PS3 (NTSC 60GB upgraded to 500GB), PSP 2000 (Silver, 4GB), XBox360 Elite

LOL I'm a 26 year old female.  I don't think I'll be going around bashing things with it XD nor will I be having fights XD

You're too happy. And make one topic about things you want, instead of just copying and pasting the summary of the item from the site in different topics.
