Wii UPDATE!!!!!

yeah there is a update for the wii:

Wii shop channel. you can now send gifts to anybody in your address book.
Photo channel. a new Photo channel 1.1 can be downloaded at WiiWare in the shop channel, you can now have a pic as the Photo channel icon on the Wii menu.

Yeah, I won't be updating my photo channel... They are taking away MP3 support in favor of AAC, and I have never in my life used AAC.

But the gifting feature is kind of cool. My nephew is getting a Wii for Christmas, so getting him gifts in the future will be just that much easier.

No shipping charges either, ;) .

D: i didn't know that the took away the MP3 format. well to late i have to live with it :(

I just read that if you have the old version of the Photo Channel and update it, you can in fact delete the update and roll back to the old version.

I swear that a month or so ago, when I first read about it, they said that you would NOT be able to roll back to the old version once you update. But someone said that they changed that and you can in fact delete the update.

I have not tried this myself, so take it for what it's worth.

I think both of those are really cool. I saw a message from Nintendo today on my Wii and I was like "This is going to be a really cool update!". Though, when will they make a new update for the Check Mii Out Channel?

If you're really interested in Check Mii Out Updates, it might be better to check yourself. The update message is a little late sometimes.

i don't see what to update :)

oh also if your into check mii out..look at my official wii guide ;) (there is some mii's that you might find cool)

Taking out MP3 support was dumb...

I like being able to use a picture for the channel icon. To bad you can't for other channels.
