The controller is made so that there is three bits to hold... so u wouldn't really be able to play properly unless you had three hands which is not human at all.

Yeah, in my opinion the N64 controller was the worst controller Nintendo ever made. The analog sticks always got messed up after you used it for a long time.
Will edit sig later...:P

I consider the GCN's controller to be the nicest one. Especially the Wavebird. Just fits so well in your hands. <3

I really hate how I've made more than 12,000 posts here. Thankfully this swaying, moving Chandelure makes it all worth it.

no, it's meant so you can play holding the d pad and the stick, or the stick and the buttons,

the N64 gave you options.

Dude .

It was more innovative than it was weird.

Considering there was more than 1 way to hold the controller, and it is also based on the game you are playing

...Friend codes were probably implemented by the same people who wanted tripping in Brawl...
...It's quite obvious...

Yeah pretty much.

Good luck using all 3 at once.  :D

I actually kinda enjoyed the n64 one the most.  I donno why though.  Maybe it is the fond gaming memories hahahah

Triforce_Luigi

The N64 was the best, in my opinion. The controller, I liked.

Yoshi549

I liked the controller before, but now I see it as odd.

I don't recall any game which required use of all three sections of the controller at the same time. Maybe I missed something, but, every game I have requires at most (and usually exactly) two of the parts at any given time.

I mean, on any given controller (or, at least, more recent controllers. Could do it with the NES and other stuff like that), there are likely more buttons than one could push and manipulate all at the same time. For instance, it would be pretty hard to use the L button, the A button, the Z button, the Start button, the main analog stick, the C-stick and the D-pad on the GCN controller all at the same time. Certainly not with any sort of accuracy if it required that. Since one is never required to be pushing that many buttons at the same time though, it doesn't really matter.

THEBIRD

It seems that Nintendo has created the most innovative controls then any other company. There is the N64, with the three handles, the wiimote with the motion sensor, and the zapper etc. Playstation pretty much keeps their same controllers with each system, and same with the XBox.
