Judas

I was in the cafeteria getting lunch at school today, and while observing one of the beverage fridge things I notice hidden among the carbonated water and apple juice nothing other than Starbuck's DoubleShot espresso things. I jumped and threw out my arms in elation, dropping my Caesar salad, and when I returned to the Earth I jubilantly grabbed one of the delicious drinks and proceeded to the cash line.

"How long have you stocked these?!" I demanded of the cashier.
"A couple weeks, I think." WHAT? A COUPLE WEEKS? FOR MORE THAN THESE FEW MINUTES I HAVE BEEN NEGLECTED STARBUCKS PRODUCTS IN MY SCHOOL CAFETERIA? Outrageous.

I then explained in brief monologue how I deeply appreciated the addition of not only the espresso but also regular Starbucks canned iced coffee and something else I didn't notice the label of. A formal request for the continual stocking of these items was put in.

The reason I am pleased with the availability of coffee to the cafeteria menu is twofold: One, espresso is just one of my favorite flavors. I may be one of few people who enjoy coffee more because of the flavor than because of the caffeine benefit, which is the second reason. There hasn't been a day so far this year when I haven't slept through 50% of at least one of the two periods I have after lunch.

BUT NOW I WILL BE A SUPER-AWAKE THINKING MACHINE. And when I get home, I'll have to piss. A lot.

The sad part is that this is most likely a passing experiment, like popcorn, and curly fries (which occasional appearances), and Cinnamon Toast Crunch on the cereal rack. :(

tl;dr
Actually, now that I think about it...I think we might have some of those too. Not sure. I rarely get anything besides the generic half-pint of chocolate milk. >_>

1. lol, you had school today.

2. stock up on it while you can.  buy it all out.  then you can sell it off to students when you have extras on exam days.

yup

When there's no Starbucks stuff, I get either a bottle of H2Oh! lime carbonated water (or regular if they're out), or 2 little cartons of 2% milk.

Up until this year we had several Coke machines. This year some federal mandate that affected my school prohibited them from carrying any non-diet pop, though, and diet pop is the worst thing ever, so I never drink it at school. Probably a good thing, because otherwise I'd drink like 4 cans of Coke every day.

Yeah, but if they carried regular pop there are kids who would literally consume like 1000 calories daily just from pop.

At least diet has that horrible taste that tells you YOU SHOULDN'T BE DRINKING THIS.

Lucky.  The best we get is either the Icy Cold to Go milk in regular chocolate and strawberry, the (new) 1/2 pint plastic bottle of milk (it looks like 1/3 of a pint) in regular chocolate and strawberry, gatorade (in several kinds), green tea (surprisingly good, actually), water, and Capri Sun juice pouches.

Also, please don't drink caffinated drinks frequently.  It's HORRIBLE for you and especially for your Kidneys.
meh

our school has very, very, VERY few obese kids, and we just stopped serving poutine this year.

if you don't know what poutine is, you don't deserve to know.  it's the greatest food ever.  One of the least healthy too.
