THEBIRD

Solon thought, he had already thought about giving the Cloud Gem to Lanbar and Tanbar, but he glanced over at their fighting and was beginning to wonder if they could be trusted to take care of it together. And no matter what Harver had said, the Scale gem was going to Kai. Solon was just glad that Harver agreed on most of his points.

"Well, we don't need to worry about the Cloud Gem yet," Solon replied, deciding that Lanbar and Tanbar might not be able to handle the gem. "But I think I've got everything figured out now, thanks. But, there are still some other things we need to talk about." Solon walked onto the ship and motioned for Harver to follow him.

Light

"Ok," Harver started, following Solon, "but after you're done, I have something I want to ask you."

Solon made sure they were alone in the Men's Quarters. "Ask me your questions first. My own ideas and plans can wait," Solon replied.

((I guess Kai is on the ship))
Kai looked down on the ocean and looked at his reflection.

Light

Harver sighed. "Tell me about this dream you had, please, if it isn't too troubling."

"I can't really remember it too well," Solon replied, squinting his eyes as he tried to remember. "My parents were there... And some other old man, but I don't know who the old man was. My parents reassured me that what I was doing was right... Then, everything went black and the old man in the background was the only one left. I could see him through the darkness because he was shining a ghostly white... And he gave me  a warning about the gems that I can't remember."

Light

"Hmm..." Harver was thinking. "And you somehow know that this has something to do with a traitor?"

You are treading in dangerous waters!

Solon nodded, already guessing that would be Harver's reply. "Yeah, I remember him saying something about the gems not being safe. He said something about someone having a connection with the Dead Men... I wasn't too sure, the connection was fuzzy. But, I've had other omnious warnings, and I'm sure this was one of them."

Light

"Well, I'm sure everything will become clear eventually." Harver smiled at Solon. "Anyway, there was something you wanted to talk about?"

((Now I think Harver is part of the Dead Men, which will make everything much more interesting! But I'll be constantly changing my mind, so we'll see...))

"Hm? Oh yeah! Listen, I had a dream a while ago saying that in order to get all the gems, one of us will have to die. For the longest time, I thought it was talking about me. I'd need to die in order for you guys to get the Crescent Gem. But now, I'm thinking that this traitor is going to need to die. The person who told me this was some... Some man who lived in the underworld. And then, constantly on our journeys, my parents have came into my dreams and told me that I'm on the right path. Finally now, I've gotten this dream from a godly man telling me there is a traitor within our numbers.

"I know I'm no prophet, but all these dreams must be connected. I think we should really take heed. That man told me that one would die in order to get the gems, and the other said there was a traitor. Putting two and two together, it can only mean one thing in my eyes. But, what do you think it means?"

So now that the two have 'talked it over' Tanbar had to give in to Lanbar's idea seeing as there being no other explaination. The two went back onto the ship.

Light

Harver thought about this for a moment, taking it all in, counting the possibilities. "Yes. I think that, eventually, the traitor will be exposed, and will be killed. Unfortunately, I also think that one of us will have to kill the traitor. I had a dream as well, telling me something that sounded like a poem. It went like this:

"Born in Darkness, come into Light.
One shall kill the other, by midnight's flight."

"So not only will we find out who the traitor is before our journey is over, but one of us will have to kill him or her." Harver became solemn. "I'm sorry, but I don't see any other explanation."

"I hope I'm the one to kill the cheap bastard who thinks they can pull a fast one on me!" Solon stated. "The Gods have kept me alive this far, I'm not going to let them down." Solon gave Harver a nod before walking out of the chamber.

Light

Harver stood there as he watched Solon leave the room. Heh... now that's odd. Solon killing me? And not even being scared. I wonder if he'll feel the same way when the time comes.
If the time comes.
Sorry Emit, but I don't see how we can get out of this one.

Harver walked out of the room and out onto the deck. He looked at the waves that steadily crashed into the ship. If I'm going to die eventually, then I'd rather make the most of what's left of my life than live in the agony of knowing that death is right around the corner. I'm not afraid.
Harver...

Kai turned around and saw Harver "Oh. why look it's the new second in command who can't kill a fly"
