As well as Ness, Jigglypuff and Luigi!

Although, Ness is looking kinda bleak! I just hope that Lucas is to Ness as Luigi is to Mario in Meelee!

Sad to say Ness is pretty much done for. Although I think it was a one or the other deal from the start.
Luigi is staying. No need to worry about him. He is one of the MARIO BROS. ya know. Jiggly. I hope she's in. She's always the fun "joke" character who's surprisingly good.

What about Pichu?

Everyone knows Pichu was the first to get the boot...only the single most hated character in the game

The whole getting rid of characters was going to happen regardless. Because eventually we'd get guys like Pichu and Roy who got in on popoularity only and thus would have little/no meaning in future games. Better to do it now than later.

Popularity is all a character needs to get in.  It's the only reason why Sonic got in.
