I use Windows because I'm more accustomed to it and the programs that run on it and I have yet to have any significant problems. If I ever want to use some other OS, I can use my virtual machine with Ubuntu.
Cost is a HUGE factor for me and I think most Apple hardware is more expensive than the various brands of PC hardware. (I'm not sure though >_>)
Would you buy a chinese version of a product just because it was cheaper, or would you go with the brand with a higher price, but a reputation for quality?

A lot of PC's are built very badly, so Mac wins in terms of hardware; however, Windows is the standard OS so more software supports it, so it wins in terms of software.

That's the worst argument against Macs ever.

I've never found a task that I can't find a good piece of software for.
That's you. My electronic homework alone is Windows exclusive, so all of the Mac owners at school have to either come early or stay late to do the assignments. There's no denying the bias for Windows when it comes to software development.
Netbeans and Eclipse work fine on my Mac.

The only trouble I've had is finding something for XNA, which is owned by Microsoft, so I doubt that's Apple's fault.

Mac for me. They're both great operating systems, but the simplicity of mac really outways some of the major glitches of the PC. Macs have great security (not once have I gotten a virus on a mac), a special internet browser just for the system, plenty of helpful tools that you don't have to buy separately, and a new OS that doesn't suck.

That's me. :D ^

Ah, Eclipse. Wonderful progran, but it doesn't have the custom tools that my teacher implemented in JCreator.

I'm used to Windows, so yeah, PC.

HOWEVER

Because I'm asking for an external hard drive for my Birthday, I'll probably have whatever my new laptop has (Vista or XP D:), some Linux operating system, and if I try reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally hard, maybe one of the Mac OS's ::)

Then again, why bother with a Mac OS, too annoying to get >_<

Mac>PC

Mostly because I don't have to deal with errors and things that Windows usually have. But don't get me wrong, I have two Windows desktops (one I built) so I'm not really being biassed. For everything I use my Macs and I use my PCs to play CSS.

Custom

I use a PC.... I tried a Mac at school once though.

えっちーせんぱい

I use Windows XP (Meh, might as well be Vista now) Because I'm used to it.

Mystic

PC, cause PCs run Windows, Mac, Linux.

PC by nature, though I am experienced with OS X and a few of the more ancient Mac OS versions as well.

I really don't have a strong opinion on which I like better, because I've had very few issues with either. I really don't ever seem to run into the problems that people complain about on OS X and XP.

I can certainly say that Windows 2000 gave me some trouble though. Not a lot, but it was atrocious compared to XP. I used 95 as well, but I hardly remember anything about it.

I'm a PC user, I have a Windows PC and a Ubuntu PC, I'll never touch a MAC again, I was stupid enough to buy one in the past...
