SMG help

Hey everyone. I just got to the honey galaxy last night and Im trying to get to the queen bee. Im at the part with all those flowers that you have to fly to. On the flower with the star on it, for some reason nothing happens when I shake the wiimote. Did I miss something or forget something here? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and one more question, how long is this game?
