I've played it.

All Tails Doll aside, it was a fairly solid racer. Pretty fun, graphics weren't bad for their time.

Why would he get a Dreamcast before a Genesis? The Dreamcast has almost no good exclusives. Many of its best games have other versions on other consoles, have been re-released, etc.

Prime example is Ikaruga.

Don't get me wrong...it's a good console. But I find the Genesis to have more value in the area of good exclusives (unless of course Nintendo keeps cranking them out on the VC).
