Sucked balls. I'm still waiting for good movies to come out.

Judas

"With a heart of furious fancies, whereof I am commander, with a burning spear and a horse of air, to the wilderness I wander."

Mutilator7

I'm gonna go see it, hope it's better than the first one.

Friend of mine is going to see it with her sister tomorrow, I'll ask her what she thought. She's pretty much the only person whose opinion I'm going to trust on this.

I saw the first though, and I thought it was horrible. Nicholas Cage just pisses me off, so inhumanely smug I just want to drop a house on him, but the movie was just a slur of cliche and Indiana Jones fetishism. Did nothing for me.
"I like cigarettes, Mrs. Taggart. I like to think of fire held in a man's hand. Fire, a dangerous force, tamed at his fingertips. I often wonder about the hours when a man sits alone, watching the smoke of a cigarette, thinking. I wonder what great things have come from such hours. When a man thinks, there is a spot of fire alive in his mind-and it is proper that he should have the burning point of a cigarette as his one expression..."

Cardinal

Saw it Sunday.

Thought it was good, but nowhere near the first.
After seeing the first about 20 times, I could tell what was going to happen in the movie.

Some evil dude forces then to go with him into dark scary place --> something falls/breaks --> all work together to save each other --> evil dude dies --> find treasure.

Still thoroughly enjoyed it, though.
I'd give it 3.5/5.

You'll kill yourself in the second one then. I liked the first.

Kaz

Horribly predictable and too unbelievable given the present-day context and how fast the characters are able to figure things out.

Ben isn't a intercourse ing computer. He shouldn't act like one.

Really wasn't that good of a movie, just like the first one. I'll give it a 5/10.

It was very... impossible. The first one did a nice job of making it seem almost believable, but with this one it seems they shifted it way too far into Indiana Jones gear, and plowed through "clues" without much explanation. I mean, it was like, "Oops, I blinked, why are they in Paris?"

They also added a lot more of the personal drama factor, like the whole ex-girlfriend, clearing the family name etc. etc.. I don't know. Maybe it sells well?

Standing alone, it's a pretty good movie for those who just want to be entertained. But compared to the first, it's meh. The whole thing was just way too rushed. I kept waiting for the climatic, spectacular scene that never came.
