The only reason I would need a strategy guide is to find out how to unlock characters, and I have the internet for that.

Well I'm a meh Smash player and I would rather pull out a book for my strategies than go on Gamefaqs.

Plus I like to read them.

And it usually has good art  in the guides, too.

Whenever it's a big game like Brawl, I always not only get the guide, I get the special hardcover edition. :D

Strategies? Gamefaqs is better, as you get multiple, more informed opinions. Nintendo said caping was frowned upon, I don't think they are very trustworthy.

Yes, because they do have some pretty pictures.

I don't waste money on stuff like that. My strategy will fall in to place as I see the character moves and get the feel of the characters.

This one is made by Prima.

Always buy Prima guides, not Nintendo Players Guides.

They tell you stuff like wavedashing, black hole glitch, etc.

The internet tells you that and more for free, and youtube has video demonstration.

Yeah, I got the Nintendo Power guide for Melee, and it didn't tell me anything I didn't already know.

I just like reading them, OK?

I can decipher what to do by reading.

And how do you know what's in the guide? You didn't make it.
