I understand people have different tastes and all but.

J-pop sucks. Pretty much all pop sucks. In fact, there's very few pop songs that are good, most of them have elements of folk or rock in them (IE, Simon & Garfunkel)

You cannot prove J-pop sucks since there is no universal definition for sucky music, thus that is an opinion and does not further your argument. There's nothing wrong with people who listen soley to video game music, you just have a problem with it, though for the death of me I can't figure out why.

Personally, I don't care for J-pop, nor do I listen to solely game music, but your logic appalled me. Furthermore, hate requires passion, but I'm quite indifferent on most things.

Yeeeees it has. Plenty of pop stars still use it. Mainly it's hip-hop that does it this decade but most pop of today is pretty much hip-hop related anyways.
