Same reason as firearms, I'm guessing.  Nowadays, knives mean shanking and stuff. >_>

I'm at least gonna pretend this is true, regardless of the source.  I want to keep hoping that he'll be in, but I'd rather not be disappointed a second time. ><

... I'm going to integrate my Sothe fandom into one of my taunt messages.  THAT, I know will happen.

Edit: I think a somersault kick is kinda... unimaginative, although he did show off his footwork in FE10.  He's a thief, for craps sake.  Have him steal something from an opponent and give it to the player. >>
