I was watching the news yesterday, and one of the stories was how older episodes of Sesame Street aren't for kids. I guess there's these new DVDs released with the older episodes, and a disclaimer comes on that these are intended for adults and not kids, or somethin along those line.s :P

But the news anchor person says it because the grumpy guy is too grumpy and the Cookie Monster eats too many cookies. :|

Oh, it was on FOX too. :D

FOX
Well there's your problem.
Indeed. I heard about this. They don't want kids to have Imaginary Friends, so they want to ban Big Bird, don't want Cookie Monster because he eats cookies, and Grouch...becausy he's grouchy. WHY!? Give me a specific reason why? It's 4-6 year olds who watch this show, and they'll grow out of it! Why?

That was my 1 cent.

I remember seeing something about this that said it was because it always shows little kids going to places and into the houses of random people, that's why they have that disclaimer. I think there was also something about smoking, too.

Kids are stupid nowadays, or maybe the parents will sue because they didn't raise their kids well.

Parents always blame everyone but themselves when they realize their kids are messed up.

I read an article on that on the internet. It was because of crap like having Whole Milk and the fact that in a small parody, Cookie Monster smokes a pipe. He even eats it before long and ends the parody, but no, it's all "ZOMG it is teh smoking ban teh sesame street from teh childrens precious minds". Fools.
To be seen, stand up. To be heard, speak up. To be appreciated, shut up.

Kids aren't stupid. The problem is adults who THINK kids are stupid when they aren't.

Those were great... the days hen Kermit the Frog was actually a recurring character... I must buy the Muppets Show. Now THAT's for adults.

That's dumb.

It's like saying telletubbies aren't for little kids because all they ever eat is toast and custard, and they don't have any house rules.

Well, they do have to go to bed at a certain time.....But still.

(( I hate telletubbies by the way))
