I'm baised because I've only played AC:WW, but I think I would have like the GC version better because of the holidays and NES games.

I got the GCN version when it came out, and I played it a lot. Boy that games sucks now... and I played the DS version like twice.

So I voted for the GCN version.

Dominator_101

Hmm... They both had some things that were good. I liked the Flea Markets, and being able to have people come into your house in Wild Worlds. In the GCN version I liked Nooks raffles every month, and I also liked the fact that you could ask people if they had any work for you. Its a tough decision...

Wild world it has wifi, but the GCN you don't share the house and ou get a basement, but I will go with wild world

Pikagirl_777

Tough. I love both of them. WW has Wifi, but the Animal Crossing GC, you didn't need to share a house.

It's kind of a toughie, but overall I'll have to choose Wild World just for the wifi. Yeah, the friend codes made it a little annoying, but actually playing with people is so much fun. :D

I preferred Animal Crossing GCN because of NES games, sharing a town and not a house, and my favorite part was that it was on a big screen.  Sure, ACWW was fun because you could visit other towns, but it wasn't as fun as I thought it would be.  Plus, Animal Crossing GCN had the Island.

IAMTHEGAMER

ive never played the first so i guess ww
Many fans clamored for Wario to join the fray, and so now he finally makes his appearance...

I loved the original's NES games in it, but otherwise, the DS one was much better. =3

DistantWords

I personally like the GCN version better, but play the DS version more.

IMO, the GCN version is far superior to the DS version.  Bigger town, real holidays, no house sharing (that's a BIG one for me), and the actual "movement"; your character moves around the screen instead of the screen moving around your character.

I also like the dump WAY more than the recycle bin.  The dump was guaranteed to have 2 new items every day, where the recycle bin it seems more like 2 every week...

It also really helps that you play it on your TV...

The DS version DID make some nice improvements; selecting more than one letter to mail at a time, having your fossiles checked right away instead of mailing them off and waiting a day to get them back, all dressers connected to the same "storrage" system which holds a TON of items...

I also like the whole breeding new flowers thing in the DS version, but at the same time, I hate the wilting flowers and having to water them.

That being said, the one thing that WW has over the original, is of course, Wi Fi.  That one thing alone makes it a more worth while experience.

AC is actually a rather boring game after a while.  You can only do so much with it (as in the original version).  But being able to travel to other towns, see how other people decorated their houses and towns, and being able to show off your own...  THAT one thing adds a lot of extra enjoyment.

I just wish that there was a better way of doing the Wi Fi.

All in all, I actually do like the idea of Friend Codes for AC.  That's like the ONE game that I think really needs them.  However, there has GOT to be a better way.

For the Wii, I'd like to see a merging of FCs with an advanced "random" element.

So like, people on your "Friends List" (either FCs, or better yet, your Wii List) can come to your town and have full access (or maybe you can fully customize it by selecting individual permissions for each "Friend").  But then random people can also come to your town, and have a kind of "Read Only" sort of version.

Like, random people wouldn't be able to use their ax or shovel, and flowers would be indestructible to them.  But they could still shake trees, fish, catch bugs, buy stuff from Nook's, and visit the houses.

THAT, IMO, would make for a better AC experience...
Looking for any old friends from Nsider.  If you remember me, let me know!

Brand new AC:WW town created. PM me for FC info.

I liked both of them for different reasons.

AC:GCN for the NES games and AC:WW for Wi-Fi and better outfits.

I'd have to go with AC:WW though.

Apollo

ww was better but gamecube was so much more fun cause it was so unique and it was for platform
