You people who think she's a male need to learn your facts.  They said she was male in OOt because they didn't know she was actually Zelda.  You should all be ashamed.   This has to be the dumbest arguement.   :D

Zelda dressed up as a boy called Sheik and although she was still a girl she was dressed up as a boy to disguise herself from Ganondorf.

That explains why they called her a he in OoT and a she is smash bros.

They called her a he so it wouldn't spoil the story in OoT but because it was already spoilt that Zelda was Sheik in smash bros. They didn't need to hide the fact it's a she!
