Contest Threads?

I remember when people used to host contests all the time on the original NSider. Good times, good times...

If you remember at OldSider all those "contest" threads were on their respective boards. A Mario themed contest goes on Mario Board, Zelda themed contest goes on Zelda board, etc. And I do recognize that those boards aren't that active up here, but maybe contests of the sort you are talking about would stir up some activity...

And in case you don't see my answer in that paragraph, I am voted a No. ;)

No, we already have too many boards as it is. We're trying to condense them, not expand.

there is a mario trivia going on in the mario board.....gamecube on gamecube....ect..ect..

if you want to condense, you can get rid of

animal crossing
star fox
kirby
fire emblem (though this one is debateable)
Donkey Kong
and
Guitar Hero

and condense them into a "minor series" board.  questions would be answered faster and it would get more attention.

then you could put Sony & Microsoft into the same one, and make it a "different consoles" board, which would also include PC gaming.

problems solved.
