My family usually goes on vacation once a year...usually during summer.

I hate "vacations" in the traditional sense (the only place I actually want to visit is Japan for some obvious reasons), but my ideal vacation is just smoozing around the house and not doing anything and relaxing.

what do you call a vacation?  going on trips doesn't really equate to a vacation, but I go somewhere in winter usually and sometimes somewhere else in spring as well (this year im going to banff with the band, so I'd consider that a vacation, and i went to Europe last year).

I live in California, so we used to go to Disneyland once a year. However, we're Annual Passport holders now, so we're going to go there a lot this year. 8)
