right now, an online melee looks really good to me, actually. :|

but I'll get used to it...  Pokemon Trainer looks like a cool concept, but the thing is...

they should have kept (nearly) all of the veterans as normal characters, then only released the newcomers as unlockables.  nobody would be complaining then.

but no, nintendo had to try to build up hype for the first time, well, ever.

Yes. For someone who "knows what the game will look like before he starts working on it", not a lot of what he told us came true: either he lied, the demands were too high (>_>), or the Journal was a fake.

I have Melee, don't I?

Seriously though, I've watched just about every gameplay video on Youtube, and they are clones, just more 64 Luigi, if you know what I mean. And If you look at the character select screen, all of the characters are organized by game, which was a sign of completeness in Melee, and there's only room for one more character if you remove the random box.

Anyways, who told you how many "slots" the game has? The size of the icons change depending on how many characters you have.

Strip away the extra features, and what do you have? Furthermore, the inclusion of 45 characters has relatively low chance, but it cannot be accomplished without removing the random box and adding a new row of icons.
