nintendo is going completely casual and kiddy.  another example of this is MP3.

look at how open-ended Metroid Prime is, and attempt to tell me that MP3 was half as exploration-based as prime.

WE DON'T WANT OUR CUSTOMER TO GET LOST, ELIMINATE ALL GLITCHES, ELIMINATE ALL GAMEPLAY THAT ISN'T APPROVED BY US.

L-cancelling was morphed into the game, wavedashing removed.

They cut out jump-cancelling with Yoshi, if he wasn't a crappy enough character to begin with.  An "Exploit" they would call it.  Now my favorite character who is poop tier is even worse. :|


I guarantee you that when Super Mario Galaxy Player's Choice version is released, all of the glitches that we've found at SDA will be gone, simply because Nintendo doesn't want their customer to get confused.
