My GBA is acting...odd

To say the least.
Since there is no GBA forum,I'm posting it here [Ha,I have no DS still ;o;]
Okay,so I was playing Final Fantasy with the music on
I saved and turned it off because I ad to do something.
The next time I turned it on, game was in slow motion[including the music]
So,I turned it off,then turned it back on.
Same thing.
I popped in Pokemon and turned it on and the screen was just blank
No Gameboy,just a blank screen and the power light was on.
It's quite disappointing...and I don't think its normal xD

that totally sucks.
Is it a GBA or SP?
If so, you can get another one for a cheap price for 10 to 20 dollars.
