We don't know. Or at least as far as I know.  ::)

I hope so too. Or else I have to learn to use Luigi all over again. :-\

No.  It's been removed; it's no longer possible to move while air-dodging, which is a key element of wavedashing.

You guys are going to have to play fair now.

Hate to potentially start a flame war, but

You're quite the casual elitist.

Playing with wavedashing isn't any less "fair" than playing without it.  If you're going to set limitations on yourself like "no wavedashing", then it's your own fault for not having learnt tactics in order to beat opponents that are quite obviously better than yourself.

It's not a glitch.  it's abuse of game physics.  no more of a glitch than the mockball in super metroid.

and before you even say it, L-cancelling was purposely put in SSB and SSBM.

most people who play competitively use them.

no

all people who play competitively use them.

and wavedashing is so easy to learn too... then again, I use Yoshi, so it's effects are completely evident.

As Jono said, you guys are being casual elitist. It's not our fault you don't want to learn to "drillshine>shffld bair edgehog". If you want to limit yourself, fine, but don't whine when someone who wants to play the game the best they can kicks your ass because you "would like to play a game without using techs".
