There are some who pronounce them differently.
k, but according to the "official" dilalect that is used in the dictionary (and that I consequently speak in) I'm pretty sure they're homophones.

I was able to make them sound different but I need to concentrate on it, so if I'm talking normally I'm not going to be able to do it.  :'(

Stop being around people with accents. Just keep concentrating on not sounding like whatever you sound like.
