Did ANYBODY ELSE catch this five months ago, or what?

Let's examine Tuesday the eighteenth's (of 2007) update to the Dojo. Something here caught my eye and I want to know if anybody else saw it.

Surely now? If not...

Does it bother anybody else that, unless this has changed, all of our wi-fi battles with unknown opponents will have no kept records? Is that not the ENTIRE POINT of wireless matches (facing others and knowing whether or not you have a chance to win, and if you are good, showing off your record?), and unless there's another mode here that we're missing, isn't this REALLY disappointing?

Also, I know this probably isn't a big deal, but does anybody know if you can change the online Brawl to something other than 2:00-standard with opponents? Like, a stock match? I've always hated timed matches, and if there's an option for like, a 3-man stock match or something as an alternative, that'd be nice. If not, oh well, but, you know, just wondering. If anyone has info on this, do let me know.

That's some bullpoop right there. Online play is MEANT to have stats like that tracked. Without it, it's like you never played at all. It's pointless.

Actually, that's not true. I've checked out a few online matches recently, and all of them showed the name of who you're playing. (Though it gets annoying while playing.)

They may have been friends matches. I have seen some wifi matches where the names are indeed not displayed. Hold on...

I've seen nobody say a word about it at all. In fact, I've seen very little negative talk about anything to the game, so I thought if someone did mention it, I would actually notice it.

Why have a soccer game have online ranking and not a fighting game?

'Smasher of the Day" could be done just as easily as "Striker of the Day".

there was negative talk because of it 5 months ago.
Do you really think anyone would keep on ranting and raving about the same thing 5 months later?
Try thinking things through before you post, and would it kill ya to say one positive thing about this game just once? :|

Sorry I didn't read the post thoroughly enough the first time, it's been news to the three people I told prior to making this thread.

I'm tired of being yelled at for saying negative things about a game. I can't wait for the game to come out, and I'm getting it on release day. I'm pointing out stuff that, in my opinion, isn't exactly perfect. Sorry my thread wasn't perfect and that I apparently didn't think before I posted. Next time, don't try to make me feel like I posted a garbage thread when I'm only trying to make for a good discussion.

It sounds like you want it. It sounds stupid to say this, but my mom always told me: "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all."
Basically, there are a lot of good disscussions to be made without trying to make everyone hate the game. ( I know that's not your goal but that's what's happening, if you can't tell.)
I am a little bummed about it, but guess what? I moved on 5 months ago. And it's time y'all do the same.

Well this is not entirly true. You can register your name for your character so the opposing player can see your name (It would get annoying but it is still in the game as an option). Also maybe the creators dident want the stats to be tracked because people would be getting to competitive. Maybe they just want the players to have fun and not try to become the best online, I really do not care that my stats will not be tracked, all i want is to have fun and as long as that is in the game im not going to complain

However it would be nice to send messages but o well ;)
