More then likely it'll be something you'll have to unlock.

Wait, you had to unlock the item switch in Melee?

Either way, I hope it isn't.

Item switch is where you can turn items on and off, right?
If so, then it comes with it when you first put in the game.
It was there in melee, and you didn't need to unlock it...
